Because poetry is his chosen outlet for expressing his emotions and heartbreak, these verses represent a true expression of his inner self. Whether he is searching for love, coping with the heartbreak of love lost, or just trying to determine his rightful place in the universe, his inner turmoil is etched upon each poem. Some of his poems explore the passion of new love or explain the misery of a failed crush. This poetry seeks to leave a lasting impression of the journey taken to find enduring love. Hopes and Dreams A brilliant sunset, Melting into twilight, Is breathtaking. But it still does not, Come close to the beauty. I see when I look Into your eyes, A midnight sky, Scattered with thousands Of silver stars, Holds Countless hopes and dreams, But it can not hold all the dreams, I want to share with you. A million tomorrows Would not hold enough time for me to tell you, How much I love you. How Thankful I am, To have you at my side.

From Elie Wiesel, a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and one of our fiercest moral voices, a provocative and deeply thoughtful new novel about a life shaped by the worst horrors of the twentieth century and one man’s attempt to reclaim happiness. Doriel, a European expatriate living in New York, suffers from a profound sense of desperation and loss. His mother, a member of the Resistance, survived World War II only to die in an accident, together with his father, soon after. Doriel was a child during the war, and his knowledge of the Holocaust is largely limited to what he finds in movies, newsreels, and books—but it is enough. Doriel’s parents and their secrets haunt him, leaving him filled with longing but unable to experience the most basic joys in life. He plunges into an intense study of Judaism, but instead of finding solace, he comes to believe that he is possessed by a dybbuk. Surrounded by ghosts, spurred on by demons, Doriel finally turns to Dr. Thérèse Goldschmidt, a psychoanalyst who finds herself particularly intrigued by her patient. The two enter into an uneasy relationship based on exchange: of dreams, histories, and secrets. Despite Doriel’s initial resistance, Dr. Goldschmidt helps to bring him to a crossroads—and to a shocking denouement. In Doriel’s journey into the darkest regions of the soul, Elie Wiesel has written one of his most profoundly moving works of fiction, grounded always by his unparalleled moral compass.

There is magnitude of people out there still recovering from the cavern that abuse leaves in its wake; this book serves as a walkthrough towards recovery. From personal experience I know that there is camaraderie to be found by sharing your struggle with others that have walked a similar path. With regards to my own recovery I found far more growth within my pain by reading the words of others. There shared struggle helped me by far more than I ever found within the mental health care profession. Whilst reading books of this nature you are able to recover and reflect in your own time. Whilst you are sitting in front of a mental health professional, you have been asked to go back into the lion’s den right there at the moment in time. That is something that is not always possible. Books like my own serve as a recognition that being abused is not something that you had any control over my book makes that very clear. Without sounding a little like I am the oracle, if my book had been written by someone else, the words within my story would have giving me the strength within to keep walking towards that light. There is complete madness within its pages teetering on insanity. But that only serves to reiterate that recovery is possible for us all.

Hes a racist! Hes a socialist! Is that hypocrisy, or is it idiocy? In the beginning I never intended to write a book. I just started writing poetry in my early teens, and now after fifteen years of writing I decided to put it all together in a book. This is me, my life, my love, my failure, my faith, to share with all of you. My love for poetry is strong but my love for God is stronger, but I will remind all my readers that poetry is sometimes raw and very blunt, but can also touch the deepest depths of our souls. I hope my book finds that part in you.
