Purple Angel is the journey of Carnikko Randall's trials, tribulations and triumphs in life. Carnikko is born into dire poverty, the daughter of an alcoholic father and over-religious mother. Being able to transport herself into fantasyland by using the purple angel's wings helps keep her sanity, and curtails the anger growing inside her. In her eighth year, tragedy strikes, and the family is torn apart. Carnikko is forced into a lifestyle that is completely foreign and disturbing.
