Following the success of Sit, Stay, Love and Pugs and Kisses, J.J. Howard returns with an adorable story of sweet pugs, friend mix-ups, and first crushes. Original for the WISH line. When Sam comes home one day to find two mystery pugs left on her porch, she's sure it's destiny. She's always wanted a dog of her own, even though her parents say that their catering business keeps the family too busy for a pet -- let alone two! But Sam has to take in the sweet, abandoned pups . . . at least until their real owners turn up. Only, she's not quite prepared for how hard it is to wrangle two frisky dogs, especially when she sneaks them into the parties her parents cater. Thankfully, cute new boy in town, Jai, whose dad works at the same events, is on hand to help when the pugs start wreaking havoc. Sam and Jai are also determined to find just where the pugs came from, and they start posting about the pups online. But if they solve the mystery, and the dogs' owner does come forward, will Sam have to give up the pugs she's fallen in love with?

Warning: If youve ever owned a dog, you should enjoy the following book. This book contains 321 cartoons which hopefully will make you smile, chuckle, and perhaps wet yourself (assuming you are older like me!) In my first book Did You Ever Wonder Thinking Outside My Box, my cartoons and their topics were fairly random sort of like stream of conscientiousness writing. This book starts out in a somewhat similar fashion but does eventually develop a couple of story lines. In the early part, youll be introduced to a number of characters but the bulk of the book will focus on Spike, Chico, and Grandpaw. Initially I considered splitting this material into two separate books but didnt think there was enough meat for both books to stand or squat separately. The last thing I wanted to do with a dog story is not have enough meat in it. If I didnt, Id have all the doggie lovers out there howling for my blood not to mention begging for more treats! Regardless, these cartoons were written with the intent of brightening your day! So take off you game face, relax, and let the sunlight enter! JAN PS Dogs like young children enjoy having stories read to them too! Please dont make them beg!

Pug Tales is a collection of short stories in poetry form conveying the adventures of two pugs who are very different from one another. They have learnt to rely on one another's abilities and personality as they face different challenges. Pugs are referred to as the clowns of the dog world and although many say that only their besotted owners or mothers could love dogs that look the way they do, they are very endearing and love people almost as much as their food.

If you are never alone when you go to the bathroom, are forced to share your food, and find your life ruled by a sassy fur ball, Living With Mochi is the perfect book for you. When architect-turned-cartoonist Gemma Gené first met her pet pug, Mochi, she felt as if time stopped. The comics chronicle Mochi’s life from puppyhood to adulthood, featuring Mochi's unrequited dog friendships, his jealousy of his two dog-brothers, and his love of food. Pugs are a toy dog. Their function is “companion”, also “announcer of arrival of guests”, “pillow to rest neck on while sitting on sofa”, and “providing warmth to owner during sleep”. In this small book we see Dr. Kathy Clarke’s pugs create hilarious chaos on a daily basis. We see Dr. Clarke, as a novice, groom and show her pugs (occasionally taking a ribbon). We meet her “dog” friends and her “non-doggie” friends as we wonder through the days at Kate’s Pugs. We share her sadness and struggle as she tube feeds a 1.8 oz tiny baby fighting “fading puppy” syndrome. We share her frustration in dealing with vets who often have little experience with the breed. Dr. Clarke’s total love and devotion to the pug dog shows through on each page. Dog devotees of any breed with recognize themselves often on the pages of Living with Pugs.
