Excerpt from Report of the Commissioner of the General Land Office to the Secretary of the Interior: For the Year Ended June 30, 1905 The total area of land disposed of was 17 acres, an increase of acres over the preceding year. The increase in the acreage disposed of, notwithstanding the decrease in receipts, is due to the operation of the act approved April 28, 1904, permitting the entry of 640 acres of certain lands in the State of Nebraska upon the payment of the same fee and commissions elsewhere required on an entry of 160 acres of minimum land. There were patents of all classes issued during the fiscal year, an increase of over the preceding year. On July 1, 1905, there were cases pending in this Bureau, a decrease Of cases from the number pending on July 1, 1904.
