This report reviews the year's activities in British Columbia related to mining & mineral exploration, arranged under five regions of the province (north-west, northeast-central, south-west, south central, Kootenay). Information is included on exploration trends, mines (metal, industrial mineral, placer, coal) and their production, and exploration projects. The final section contains two geological reports, the first on the provincial coalbed methane potential and the second on the Mount Fleet alkaline complex, and a report on activities, new discoveries & developments, mine properties optioned, and active properties developed under the 1999-2000 Prospectors Assistance Program.
