Discusses H.R. 2337, the proposed ¿Energy Policy Reform and Revitalization Act of 2007.¿ This bill focuses on four major areas: amendments to the Energy Policy Act of 2005; changes in the way the U.S. collects revenues and ensures compliance from development on public lands; encouragement of more alternative energy development and efficiency; and climate change and its impact on federal lands. Also discusses some of the very dynamic activities that were ongoing in 2007 with regard to energy development, environmental conservation, and climate change on public lands. Considers some of the major provisions of the bill that affect the programs of the Dept. of the Interior, the government agency which includes the BLM and the MMS.
