Excerpt from Proceedings of the School Committee of the City of Boston, 1887 The meeting for the organization of the Board of School Committee of the City of Boston, for this municipal year, was held in the School Committee Chamber, Mason-street building, on Monday, January 10, 1887, being the second Monday in said month, at seven and one-half o'clock P.M. Present: all the members except Messrs. Fallon and Walsh. The Board was called to order by Mr. William C. Williamson, the senior member. At the request of the Chair prayer was offered by Rev. Raphael Lasker. The following members of the Board of last year continue in office, having unexpired terms: Messrs, Blake, Canning, Dacey, Darling, Dunn, Eliot, Elliott, Fallon, Hall, Hyde, Lasker, Porter, Roeth, Walker, and Williamson. Phineas Bates, Esq., Secretary of the School Committee: - Dear Sir, - I have the honor to inform you that, at the municipal election held December 14th inst.; the following-named persons were chosen members of the School Committee of this city: - For three years. - Charles T.
