Life is too short and you're too valuable to waste your time and talents on temporary things or pleasures in exchange for eternal joy in the presence of God for His glory! For what profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul? This instruction will give you the maturity you need in character, decision-making, and skill. Although we are made in His image, this image needs to be developed. It's not fully developed upon birth or being born again in Him. We don't want to just live between the regrets of yesterday and the fears and worries of tomorrow. God has a clear path for our lives known only to Him and waiting to be revealed to you. It all starts with discovering His nature in us. You can try to discover your life's purpose in other ways, but none will achieve the kind of results from communicating and learning from the One who created you. To know Him is to love and trust Him. How can you trust someone you don't know? You wouldn't even date someone you've never met or hardly knew. Yet many people don't believe in God or don't trust Him, but they never took the time to get to know Him and pay attention to the still small voice in their soul that quietly and continually longs for Him-- your loving Father/Creator.
