This comprehensive book is an essential resource and reference guide for all practitioners who use energy healing methods. Energy healing methods are considered experimental by the mainstream health care industry, the legal system, licensing boards, and regulatory agencies. Consequently, all practitioners who use energy healing methods, whether licensed or non-licensed, face significant legal risks. This book covers key ethical and legal principles, practical considerations in working with clients, informed consent, scope of practice, and the legalities of marketing an energy healing practice. It provides essential risk management strategies that can help protect your practice from the potential legal liabilities inherent in offering energy healing methods. In defining a new ethic of caring with clients, this book also discusses the concept of the therapeutic relationship as a sacred contract between the practitioner and client and explores archetypes as the guardians of ethical relationships. This expert advice can help ensure the viability of your practice and empower you to practice in integrity and experience the joy of offering your healing gifts legally and ethically.

Energy Psychology presents a comprehensive approach to healing that combines leading-edge Western bodymind psychological methods with a broad system of ancient, sacred traditions. Incorporating Dr. Mayer's integral approach called Bodymind Healing Psychotherapy, Energy Psychology draws on Chinese medicine approaches, including Qigong and acupressure self-touch; kabalistic processes; methods drawn from ancient traditions of meditation and postural initiation; and psycho-mythological storytelling techniques.Drawing on thirty years of training in Tai Chi and Qigong, Dr. Michael Mayer shows how integrating the essences of these traditions and methods can restore vitality and give the average person self-healing tools for physical and mental health. Unlike the quick-fix books on energy restoration, this book uses timetested, age-old practices from sacred traditions in combination with well-established clinical approaches. Dr. Mayer teaches readers bodymind healing methods to treat anxiety, chronic pain, addictions, hypertension, insomnia, trauma, and other prevalent conditions. Written in a clear, intelligible style, Energy Psychology includes real-life case studies that highlight the effectiveness of his techniques.

Ethical principles are far more than mere rules or regulations - they are maps for bringing out your best as a caregiver and healer. Responding to a lack of articulated or standardized ethical guidelines for energy healing practitioners, David Feinstein, PhD, and Donna Eden developed a professional curriculum that has become one of the country's most successful and effective energy medicine certification programs. Now, this comprehensive, case-oriented guide allows veterans of the field and newcomers alike to work through a wide range of ethical dilemmas before they arise, helping you to prevent professional errors that could hurt you, your clients, and your practice.

"Suffering is an unavoidable reality in health care. Not only are patients and families suffering but also the clinicians who care for them. Commonly the suffering experienced by clinicians is moral in nature, reflecting the increasing complexity of health care, their roles within it, and the expanding range of available interventions. Moral suffering is the anguish experienced in response to various forms of moral adversity including moral harms, wrongs or failures, or unrelieved moral stress. Confronting moral adversity challenges clinicians' integrity: the inner harmony that arises when their essential values and commitments are aligned with their choices and actions. The most studied response to moral adversity is moral distress. The sources and sequelae of moral distress, one type of moral suffering, have been documented among clinicians across specialties. Recent interest has expanded to include a more corrosive form of moral suffering, moral injury. Moral resilience, the capacity to restore or sustain integrity in response to moral adversity, offers a path designing individual and system solutions to address moral suffering. It encompasses capacities aimed at developing self- regulation and self-awareness, buoyancy, moral efficacy, self-stewardship and ultimately personal and relational integrity. Moral resilience has been shown to be a protective resource that reduces the detrimental impact of moral suffering. Clinicians and healthcare organizations must work together to transform moral suffering by cultivating the individual capacities for moral resilience and designing a new architecture to support ethical practice. Used worldwide for scalable and sustainable change, the Conscious Full Spectrum Response, offers a method to solve problems to support integrity, shift patterns that undermine moral resilience and ethical practice, and source the inner potential of clinicians and leaders to produce meaningful and sustainable results that benefit all"--

How the principles of Reiki can be used not just for healing but also for spiritual growth • Explores how to practice the Reiki values of peace, serenity, gratitude, integrity, and kindness in everyday life, despite the challenges of constant change and frequent crises • Provides tools for spiritual growth for practitioners of all levels and lineages • Includes exercises and meditations to deepen the practice of Reiki using the five Reiki precepts: do not anger; do not worry; be grateful; do an honest day’s work; be kind Reiki practitioners and teachers recognize Reiki as a gentle and powerful healing method. The path to becoming a Reiki practitioner, however, is more than just a commitment to energy healing. It is also a commitment to personal growth. In Reiki for the Heart and Soul, Amy Rowland details how reflection on the five core Reiki principles presented in both the Western and Japanese traditions--do not anger; do not worry; be grateful; do an honest day’s work; be kind--can be used by practitioners of all levels and lineages as powerful tools for personal and spiritual growth. Living the five core principles reinforces Reiki’s subtle energy healing: it heals wounded self-esteem and builds healthy self-respect; it demonstrates the creative power of a positive attitude; and it presents a way to peace. Rowland discusses various translations of the Reiki principles, demonstrating how to integrate their practical value through stories and interviews. She also offers specific techniques and exercises for healing anger and fear as well as living with gratitude, integrity, and compassion. These techniques will help maturing practitioners discover a healthy, happy way of being in the world and to see the way forward on their spiritual path with a sense of clear guidance and grace.

Period.” In The Way of Integrity, Beck presents a four-stage process that anyone can use to find integrity, and with it, a sense of purpose, emotional healing, and a life free of mental suffering. She shows how to read our internal signals that lead us towards our true path, and to recognize what we actually yearn for versus what our culture sells us. With techniques tested on hundreds of her clients, Beck brings her expertise as a social scientist, life coach and human being to help readers to uncover what integrity looks like in their own lives.
