What is a collage? The traditional definition is that it is a technique of an art production where the new artwork is made from an assemblage of different items pasted on a surface using various materials not normally associated with one another. For example, items such as newspaper clippings, parts of photographs, theater tickets, fragments of envelopes, etc have been used. Recently, however, with the advent of sophisticated photographic image editing computer programs, the creation of collages has been expanded to use a collection of photographs or parts of photographs.
