Paths and Aspirations of the Enlightened Ones is a book of Buddhist liturgies drawn from the Kanjur and Tanjur, the two major Tibetan Buddhist canons containing the collection of Buddha's teachings and their commentaries by Indian masters respectively. Containing prayers exclusively of the Sutrayana Tradition, this book serves as a recitation manual for all pilgrims to the holy places. It can be read at important Buddhist religious ceremonies and also as a daily reading practice for interested individuals. Structured and arranged in accordance with the standard stages of meditation, the prayers, composed in verse form, explain and guide us in the practice of taking refuge, generating the Bodhi-mind, making offerings and praises, recitation of Buddha Shakymuni Mantra and many more.

Je Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) was one of the greatest commentator in the history of Buddhism and has the dexterity to compress profound and vast ideas in a single poem. The Three Principal Aspects of the Path is one such example. This text containing fourteen verses was taught to Tsakho Onpo Ngawang Dakpa in a place called Gyamo Rong in eastern Tibet. The Three Principal Aspects of the Path are the basis of all the sutric and tantric practices that you undertake. When one's practice is influenced by renunciation, it becomes a cause for achieving liberation (Nirvana), when it is influenced by Bodhichitta it becomes a cause for achieving omniscience (Buddhahood), and when it is influenced by correct view it becomes an antidote to the cycle of existence (Samsara). The Three Principal Aspects of the Path are the essence of all the scriptures of the Buddha. The meaning of the Buddha's teachings and commentaries on them are included in the stages of the path of the three individuals and these in turn are included in the Three Principal Aspects of the Path. Je Tsongkhapa's masterpeice appears here with a commenty by the greatest commentator and foremost teacher on buddhism of our time His Holiness the VIX Dalai Lama.

It’s actually the best thing we can do for others and for the world, but also the best thing we can do for ourselves, because it means being free from all misery, pain, depression, dissatisfaction, and negative emotions, and abiding forever in peace, joy, love, and compassion. What could be more wonderful than that? Kathleen McDonald (Sangye Khadro), a Western nun with decades of experience and author of the bestselling book How to Meditate, guides us through the next step in our meditation practice: the transformative meditations on the Tibetan lamrim stages to enlightenment. Prajna: transcendental wisdom Paramita: ferrying over to the other shore; perfection Buddha taught The Great Prajna Paramita Sutra in sixteen assemblies in four locations over twenty-two years. It was recorded posthumously by his disciples in six hundred fascicles of approximately five million words and is regarded as the largest canon in Buddhism. This sutra depicts, manifests, and provides guidance on how one should learn to become a bodhisattva—and eventually a Buddha—transcending self-interest to reach a state of emptiness, selflessness, and nonattachment. Regardless of where you are on the path to enlightenment, you will be nourished by its parables and dialogues. “If the great bodhisattvas stay in a mind correspondent with the perfect knowledge of all perfect knowledge and adopt nonattainment as expediency to reflect on matter, feeling, thinking, action, and consciousness as impermanent, painful, selfless, impure, empty, formless, without aspiration, tranquil, far away, and so forth, and without arising and extinction, they do practice prajna paramita for the great bodhisattvas.” (Fascicle 77)

A major contribution to the literature on Buddhist practice according to the Geluk school of Tibetan Buddhism from its foremost interpreter. Although it was the last major school to emerge in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the Geluk school has left an indelible mark on Buddhist thought and practice. The intellectual and spiritual brilliance of its founder, the great Tsongkhapa (1357–1419), has inspired generations of scholars and tantric yogis to place him at the heart of their daily meditative practice. The Geluk tradition’s close ties to the Dalai Lamas have also afforded it an outsized influence in all aspects of Tibetan life for centuries. At its peak its combined monasteries boasted a population in the tens of thousands, and its sway encompassed the religious landscape of Mongolia and much of Central Asia. This widespread religious activity fostered a rich literary tradition, and fifteen seminal works are featured here representing four genres of that tradition. They include works on the stages of the path, or lamrim, the genre for which the Geluk is most renowned; works on guru yoga, centered around the core Geluk ritual Offering to the Guru (Lama Chöpa); teachings from the unique oral transmission of Geluk mahamudra, meditation on the nature of mind; and instructions on the three essential points—what to practice in life, at death, and in the bardo. Your guide to these riches, Thupten Jinpa, maps out their historical context and spiritual significance in his extensive introduction.

In this brief book, we invite readers to begin a journey toward inner guidance and managing their personal success. Starting a process of personal supervision is the first step towards transforming your own life, seeking a healthier state that is aligned with your needs and desires. The truth is that to become a more fulfilled person, it is essential to start this permanence at some point, and this involves changing the way you are. Each person is an architect of their personal universe, and if things do not meet your expectations, this signals the need for internal changes to obtain different results. Without a change to the internal configuration, the results will remain unchanged. In the following pages, we explore the 10 fundamental laws that will serve as a guide to achieving personal transformation and achieving your goals. We talk about these laws and principles that must be known and followed to achieve objectives aligned with your interests. When things don't work out as desired, we are often assuming it as "laws of failure" due to inappropriate thoughts and actions. There is a sequence of steps or procedures that must be followed to be successful in our objectives. By following these laws and procedures, success becomes a natural consequence, aligned with our desires. The main message of this work is that personal success is not a gift of fate or dependent on external factors. Success is an internal and individualized construction that requires personal planning and execution. Every success is based on fundamental steps, without which success is not lasting. Someone can get rich by luck, but they are more likely to lose everything if they don't understand these fundamentals. On the other hand, someone who understands and applies these laws can rebuild their success even after losses. Personal fulfillment goes beyond possessing materials and is based on values such as emotional, mental and psychological well-being, personal fulfillment and individual growth. These developments cannot be guaranteed by luck, as they are the result of personal maturation. This work highlights the importance of internal transformation, emphasizing that personal reconfiguration is essential before seeking external success. This involves strengthening self-confidence, changing mindset and acquiring self-discipline. Therefore, each reader will find valuable information, practical strategies, and a logical approach to cultivating personal success. True success begins when you decide to rebuild yourself internally and direct your journey towards your goals. As you explore these fundamental laws, think of them as tools available to help you build a more meaningful and secure life. However, it is crucial to remember that the most important step is the firm decision to transform yourself internally, improve your quality of life and move towards your desired goals. Regardless of the knowledge acquired, personal decision is the determining step in the journey of personal guidance.
