The two Pateros, though oceans apart and linked only in 1900 in name by a homecoming Washington military officer veteran of the Spanish-American War, rediscovered each other’s history, heritage, and culture by majesty of diplomacy and blossomed friendship, formalized during the signing of sisterhood agreement amid the momentous celebration of the one hundredth year anniversary of the founding of Pateros City in 2013.
