Success in international business isn't just about products, service, terms and delivery schedules. Success is also about people, traditions and relationships, the same factors that can make all the difference in the success of a non-business traveler's trip. Although business operations have become highly internationalized, national traditions, attitudes and beliefs remain diverse. Passport to the World books are comprehensive guides to culture, etiquette and communication styles. Engagingly written by people who know the countries firsthand, Passports pinpoint cultural and economic trends and explain them within a historical context. Whether discussing nations that are in the process of rapid change (Israel, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Germany) or countries in which ancient traditions remain the most steadfast (India, China, Mexico, Philippines), Passport books are an excellent pocket-sized resource. Passport to the World books will help you avoid cultural mistakes, learn about a country's values and beliefs, and develop a negotiating style appropriate to the setting. Passports are designed to be of interest to businesspeople, non-business travelers, educators, students, trade missions, embassies, multi-cultural international corporations and chambers of commerce--in short, to anyone interacting with a culture other than their own. Each book is custom illustrated and follows a consistent series format.

Since the creation of the European market, EU financial regulators have set up a unique model of different passports for financial products and services. The EU concept of the financial passport has been a real innovation in the realm of international finance. This advanced legal tool is becoming more and more important in the world fund industry. This book is the first to address this topic. It is a unique reference work that gives a holistic view of the development of the financial passport inside and outside the EU. As a concise handbook, it offers a clear idea of the concept and reviews all financial passports throughout the world. It also assists the reader in using the relevant passports by providing quick access to various legal references. In addition, it offers a historical overview of different financial passports and describes the evolution of the operational processing and its impact on the value chain. Moreover, this version contains a specific part dedicated to third countries, including paths that might be used after the Brexit. The book is intended for lawyers, students and those wishing to expand their knowledge. The author is a senior consultant to a major European banking group. As part of business management studies in Paris and New York, he developed a forwardlooking vision for financial passports and has notably supported South American financial regulatory authorities. He established, among others, a dedicated global passport service with a capacity of more than five hundred administrated financial vehicles. In line with regulatory developments, particularly in the EU, he is supporting founders of important funds who are interested in using passports to gain a competitive advantage and grow faster.

This book highlights the design of an educational module for an innovative intensive program. The theme is very relevant in the contemporary approach to teaching activities. In fact, thanks to the didactic design, it is possible to obtain a strong relationship between teachers and learners, as required by the Bologna Process. It also allows a stronger definition of learning outcomes. After a general excursus on the subject, the manuscript refers to a recent experience carried out in the Aeolian Island for the Erasmus + Programme, called VVITA. In it, an international group of students and teachers spent a period in the Aeolian Islands, to focus on the features of local vernacular architecture. The attention has been addressed to the Aeolian House, which is a wonderful example of ante litteram sustainable architecture. On the island of Filicudi, one of the most beautiful of the archipelago, it has preserved its characteristics intact. The book is completed by teachers’ lectures and students’ final reports.
