Excerpt from Park's Floral Guide for 1899 When at the home ardens of Mr. Vilmorin, near Paris, France, I was shown a wall covered with the New hameleon Nasturtium. The plants were climbing thriftily from six to eight feet high, and among the lovely foliage were thousands of flowers of many shades, from yellow to bright crimson, as well as spotted, blotched and shaded. These various flowers all grew upon the same plant, and on this account the variety was named Chameleon.
