I decided to start with my first story about Halloween and especially with the children's view because I always remember how my parents loved to help me and my siblings celebrate all those holidays. They always allowed us to just be children and enjoy it. Some adults, and especially in the Hispanic community, have always viewed Halloween as something "bad" and that it was a way of worshiping the obscure, not really looking into the history and, sadly, not allowing their children to enjoy and not even participate in the trick or treating. Also, I love Halloween because it marks the beginning of all the following holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a Puerto Rican, all those holidays meant family gatherings and getting together with cousins and aunts and uncles and many friends—and that meant not just gathering as family and friends but the gathering of beautiful memories for years to come!
