The Ontario Agriculture & Food Engineering Research & Services Committee and its four sub-committees (Rural Environment Engineering, Crops Engineering, Livestock Engineering, and Food Engineering) investigates & makes recommendations on research priorities in its areas of interest. This report highlights progress made towards solving previously identified priorities along with any new and emerging issues that have come to light since the last report. It begins with an overview of Committee activities and the state of the agricultural industry in Ontario. This is followed by a review of achievements of the four sub-committees including research projects, publications, work in progress, and plans; an assessment of emerging research needs; actions taken on previous recommendations; and detailed research recommendations for the coming year, along with background to the research and projected costs & benefits. Appendices include sub-committee reports, Committee & sub-committee terms of reference, and a membership directory.
