Linda Langs journey to peace has not been an easy one. In their childhoods, she and her four siblings entered the social welfare system and endured what many would consider to be unbearable circumstances, shunted from orphanage to orphange. In Now I Am Free, Lang invites you into her long and hard-fought journey for understanding, forgiveness, healing, and hope, as she struggled to create her own identity. Hers childhood was stolen from her, as she and her siblings experienced what she calls soul enslavement. Candidly and honestly, she describes a life of powerlessness and abuse, of private emotions and painful secrets, and of lies and misconceptions that have haunted her. She traces a journey up her personal and intimate ladder of enlightenment and inspiration, as she slowly discovers her own truthempowerment can set you free. Her hope is that her story will resonate with others who have survived difficult childhoods as well. She seeks to inspire and empower, to provide the base courage for you to start your own journey of discovery. All it takes to get started is one small step at a time, upwards towards freedom. She encourages you to make the effort to step outside the box, ask questionsand never settle for less than the very best. Even if you have never lived in fear and powerlessness, her story of survival will inspire you to appreciate and strive for your personal truth and empowerment.

If you feel overwhelmed, you're not alone. Three out of five people admit to doing more than they can manage. Thinking God requires this, we say, "I must be everything to everyone." Then we struggle and feel selfish and guilty when we say no, grow weary, or snap at someone out of sheer exhaustion. Is this what God desires? Somewhere along the line of being a good Christian, wife, daughter, or friend we lose sight of who we are in Christ. We put our performance above God and who he says we are. But what if we chose a more soul-full way? Rest Now offers permission to breathe. It exposes the lies that distract, tire, and bully us, so we don't strive for rest but love from it, like Jesus did. Learn how to - create boundaries that allow you to overflow with love - say no so you don't hate yourself later - ditch passive-aggressive behaviors in favor of healthy conversations - embrace permission-giving thoughts to create mental space for God

Following two broken marriages and her mother's suicide, Jane came into the happiest time of her life with a new love -- only to have it end tragically. Her death certificate states that she died of "metastatic carcinoma of unknown primary" -- medical lingo for a cancer whose source remains a mystery. That explanation fails to reveal how Jane was placed in harm's way by health-care practitioners who belittle one another's valuable skills, refuse to cooperate, misdiagnose (or make no attempt to diagnose), and who believe that their treatment plan is the only plan, thereby putting the patient at risk. This poignant story, told through Jane's private journals by her author husband, is a cautionary tale for everyone caught in the crossfire of America's medical "cold war." Book jacket.

Courageous bold David, a man of war after God’s own heart who killed Goliath, made himself a great enemy in King Saul who because jealous and did everything to kill King David. But through his struggles and wars with Saul and his house, David trusted and sought God in all things. As a result Saul and his son became a nonexistent thing and God gave to David Saul’s house and his master's wives into David’s keeping, as well as the house of Israel and Judah and told him, “if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!” (2 Samuel 12:8) Consequentially David stated Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.” (Psalm 98:1). I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation (Psalm 118:21). David praised God for doing marvelous things for him and giving him with His right hand and His holy arm the victory and becoming his salvation in his real battle with Saul! Yes the word of God tells us that in this world, our enemies rise against us and devise plans to hurt and harm us (Psalm 41:7). But in these times, the God of Victory is powerful to crush our enemies. When we tell Him of our trials and tribulations, then God will help us and will make them as a non-existent thing. The Lord who gave David victory over his enemies and blessed him abundantly is no respecter of persons and shows partiality to no one. If we hold onto the Lord Jesus Christ like the psalmist David and we shall overcome all our problems and the people who rise against us in victory.

Welcome to your new journey. This book has many stories of triumph and success. It follows my life story, along with many others, to show how we all changed our lives through craziness, diversity, loss, grief, break-ups, heartache, devastation, health issues, eating disorders, abuse, addictions, and the list goes on. Living in the now is what works for me. If you are not happy with your life as it is now, perhaps modifying just one viewpoint or outlook can help you discover and live your lifes purpose. Isnt it worth at least giving it a shot to reap the rewards the same way we did. We all have a past, but we need to focus on the present. My hope is that you recognize a piece of yourself in one of us and realize that if we can change our lives for the better; you can too! ANYONE CAN!
