National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants - Hydrochloric Acid Production (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants - Hydrochloric Acid Production (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 This action finalizes amendments to national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for hydrochloric acid (HCl) production facilities, including HCl production at fume silica facilities. The amendments to the final rule clarify certain applicability provisions, emission standards, and testing, maintenance, and reporting requirements. The amendments also correct several omissions and typographical errors in the final rule. We are finalizing the amendments to facilitate compliance and improve understanding of the final rule requirements. National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants From the Portland Cement Manufacturing Industry (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants From the Portland Cement Manufacturing Industry (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 On June 14, 1999, under the authority of section 112 of the Clean Air Act (CAA), EPA promulgated national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for new and existing sources in the Portland cement manufacturing industry. On December 15, 2000, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (D.C. Circuit) remanded parts of the NESHAP for the Portland cement manufacturing industry to EPA to consider, among other things, setting standards based on the performance of the maximum achievable control technology (MACT) floor standards for hydrogen chloride (HCl), mercury, and total hydrocarbons (THC), and metal hazardous air pollutants (HAP). National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Chemical Manufacturing Area Sources (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Chemical Manufacturing Area Sources (US Environmental Protection Agency Regulation) (EPA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 EPA is issuing national emission standards for the control of hazardous air pollutants for nine area source categories in the chemical manufacturing sector: Agricultural Chemicals and Pesticides Manufacturing, Cyclic Crude and Intermediate Production, Industrial Inorganic Chemical Manufacturing, Industrial Organic Chemical Manufacturing, Inorganic Pigments Manufacturing, Miscellaneous Organic Chemical Manufacturing, Plastic Materials and Resins Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Production, and Synthetic Rubber Manufacturing. The standards and associated requirements for the nine area source categories are combined in one subpart. This final rule establishes emission standards in the form of management practices for each chemical manufacturing process unit as well as emission limits for certain subcategories of process vents and storage tanks. The rule also establishes management practices and other emission reduction requirements for subcategories of wastewater systems and heat exchange systems.
