There are instructions and guidelines for most things. How is it then, that we have so many misguided people? I have come to the conclusion most people are the same as other people. However, those other than the majority are as different as the sun and the moon, the earth and space. And yet, each of us desire to be unique; to be recognized as individuals, apart from the crowd. Nevertheless, most of us will not be remembered by future generations. A few of us work hard at putting our uniqueness to word through poetry. This book is my meager attempt at sharing part of my observations and fantasies into verse in my own poetic way. I have tried to include in this book a mix of forms and styles. Some forms are formal, most are not. I have included a few sing-song street rhymes some sophisticated, most not. You may discover a few "Rap" poems and others which are experimental. It is kind of like throwing Spheres of Ink onto a collection of pages and to be hopeful that they adhere enough and are created skillfully enough that some of them will be remembered by association of my name. After I am dead and my ashes scattered, I hope some of this poetry will survive me, perhaps this very copy you are reading now. And that somewhere down the line of time others will discover poetry they like from this small collection. The most wasted of all days is one without poetry. If you discover my spheres of ink have landed where they shouldn't, or that your poetic taste differs, I do apologize in advance for wasting your valuable time. In that case, remember that some poetry is not to be tossed aside lightly... it should be launched into outer space. This book is dedicated to honest opinion. This book does not demonstrate genius, not even close, mediocre at best...that is my honest appraisal of the poetry in this book. However, my ego can always use stroking. Therefore, if you like the verses here, please tell someone. Encourage them to purchase a copy for themselves, or to give one, or more as gifts.

Smart Multifunctional Nano-inks: Fundamentals and Emerging Applications covers nano-inks and how they can be used in inkjet printers for printing complex circuitry on flexible substrates or as a paste for 3D printers. Microstructures can be 3D-printed using nano-inks in a combination of high-resolution plasma printing and subsequent rotogravure printing. In addition, smart multifunctional nano-inks are not only required for the electronic, but also in other applications, such as for secure inks, for currency, and in immigration documents. This book focuses on fundamental design concepts, promising applications, and future challenges of nano-inks in various areas, such as optoelectronics, energy, security and biomedical fields. The current challenge for the successful industrial application of nano-inks is in the preparation of a stable dispersion of advanced materials for nano-inks. The functionalization, synthesizing, and theoretical modeling provide the solution for most of the current issues, but there are still remaining challenges which are covered in this comprehensive resource. - Outlines the major nanomaterials used in the manufacture of smart nano-inks - Provides information on the major industrial applications of nano-inks - Assesses the major challenges of using nano-inks in a cost-effective way, and on an industrial scale

Colloidal Organization presents a chemical and physical study on colloidal organization phenomena including equilibrium systems such as colloidal crystallization, drying patterns as an example of a dissipative system and similar sized aggregation. This book outlines the fundamental science behind colloid and surface chemistry and the findings from the author's own laboratory. The text goes on to discuss in-depth colloidal crystallization, gel crystallization, drying dissipative structures of solutions, suspensions and gels, and similar-sized aggregates from nanosized particles. Special emphasis is given to the important role of electrical double layers in colloidal suspension. Written for students, scientists and researchers both in academia and industry and chemical engineers working in the fields of colloid and surface chemistry, biological chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, chemical technology, and polymer technology this book will help them to exploit recent developments recognizing the potential applications of colloid science in enhancing the efficiency of their processes or the quality and range of their products. - Written by world leading expert in the field of colloids and surface chemistry - Outlines the underlying fundamental science behind colloidal organization phenomena - Written in an easy and accessible style, utilizing full color and minimal usage of mathematical equations

Veils, Nudity, and Tattoos

At first sight, tattoos, nudity, and veils do not seem to have much in common except for the fact that all three have become more frequent, more visible, and more dominant in connection with aesthetic presentations of women over the past thirty years. No longer restricted to biker and sailor culture, tattoos have been sanctioned by the mainstream of liberal societies. Nudity has become more visible than ever on European beaches or on the internet. The increased use of the veil by women in Muslim and non-Muslim countries has developed in parallel with the aforementioned phenomena and is just as striking. Through the means of conceptual analysis, Veils, Nudity, and Tattoos: The New Feminine Aesthetics reveals that these three phenomena can be both private and public, humiliating and empowering, and backward and progressive. This unorthodox approach is traced by the three’s similar social and psychological patterns, and by doing so, Veils, Nudity, and Tattoos hopes to sketch the image of a woman who is not only sexually emancipated and confident, but also more and more aware of her cultural heritage.

Our economic system is over-stimulated by the information age. Interconnection aids and abets companies earning trillions and their swift rise to global dominance. The 24-hour wired world has led to increased volatility; negative information, and even an accidental computer glitch can crash the market and create panic. Health, the environment, the welfare of society are pushed to the far edge of national interests. Instead, GDP and short-term monetary profit is prioritised over long-term impact on society and the environment. The world as we know it is set for collapse. Simultaneously, the science of evolution has itself evolved. In as much as “survival of the fittest” has been used to justify harsh, competition behaviour on the part of individuals and corporations, an updated understanding of evolution now tends to tell us a different story. What if written into the code of our DNA and RNA is a guide for telling us how to evolve morally and as a result improve our world and progress our epistemology? From such an understanding emerge new Spheres of Perception.
