I feel it is my responsibility to provide an avenue for young children to learn about God and his promises. Raising a child in this world can be scary and difficult; therefore, I am dedicated to using the gifts I have been blessed with to influence the lives of children and their parents. My son has been my biggest source of inspiration. He has inspired me to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a professional author. I have now completed my first Christian children’s book. The main character of this book, Mommy, Tell Me about God, is also my biggest inspiration—my son, Ian. While our life experiences shape our outlook on life, they also guide the way we pursue our future interests. My name is Sharanika Curlee I was born and raised in a small town called Corinth MS. Getting to know God for myself, I quickly realized the importance of giving back. I have been blessed to work in a variety of settings and had the opportunity to encounter many people, whom I have been blessed to spread the word of God. I have worked as a optician for 14 years, certified financial loan officer for 3 years, licensed cosmetologist for 12 years and jewelry designer 10 years. While wearing many hats throughout my career I have been blessed to cross paths with many people to whom I was able to grace with God’s word. I have always had a desire to make a greater impact. As a single parent to a five-year-old son, I understand the importance of rearing him in a manner that provides him with the foundation to become a happy, healthy, young man with a heart for not only serving God, but also to be a vessel of hope and help to others. In today’s society, there are always opportunities to do wrong and become engulfed in a way of life that produces unfavorable results. Teach them early and if they stray they have the knowledge that was instilled in them at a young age to find their way back to God.

Mommy, Tell Me about Heaven is a book filled with joy and happiness and for anyone who wonders what heaven will be like when God calls us home. This was written to inspire joy and for us not to be afraid of leaving this earth. Heaven is paradise and a place where we all will be together again for those who believe in Jesus Christ. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Mama of ten Abbie Halberstadt helps women humbly and gracefully rise to the high calling of motherhood without settling for mediocrity or losing their minds in the process. Motherhood is a challenge. Unfortunately, our worldly culture offers moms little in the way of real help. Mamas only connect to celebrate surviving another day and to share in their misery rather than rejoice in what God has done and to build each other up in hard times. There has a be a better way, a biblical way, for mamas to grow and thrive. As a daughter of Christ, you have been called to be more than an average mama. Attaining excellence doesn’t have to be unsettling but it will take committed focus and a desire to parent well according to God’s grace and for His glory. M is for Mama offers advice, encouragement, and scripturally sound strategies seasoned with a little bit of humor to help you embrace the challenge of biblical motherhood and raise your children with love and wisdom. Mama, you are worthy of the awesome responsibility God has given you. Now it’s time to start believing you can live up to it.

Wittily fresh and stunningly relatable, she exquisitely shares the painfully honest questions she's asked along the way, including: God, what is holiness? God, how can it be worth it to love life when it could slip away at any moment? God, what do I do when forgiveness feels impossible? God, I know you love me, but do you like me? This poignant collection of prayers is a timely reminder that even when we wander, God never leaves our side.

Parents have a deep desire to pass on their faith, but fear that today's increasingly skeptical and hostile world will eventually lead their kids to reject the truth of Christianity. This practical and timely resource gives parents the confidence of knowing what to discuss with their children and how to discuss it in order to facilitate impactful conversations that will form the basis of a lifelong faith.
