N. W. Hooens, Resolved, That this Board en tertain a lively sense of the loss, which they, in common with the denomin ation at large, have sustained by this solemn event. Brother Hodges had 'long' sustained the character of a conscientious, laborious, self-denying minister of Jesus Christ. Exemplary for his singular devotedness to the interests of reli gion, and crowned by the Providence of God with an uncommon measure of usefulness, he has gone down to the grave, amidst the deep regrets of many who loved him for his w'ork's sake. He inherits the blessing of those who die in the Lord - he rests from his labors, and his works do follow him!
