Abstract: An annotated bibliography of educational materials (made available between 1976-1983) concerning diabetes in infants, children, and adolescents includes 205 citations. The listings are organized under 2 principal sections: (resources for materials to be used by and with patients, their families and the public (91 citations) and resources for materials to be used by health care providers (114 citations). Each section further subdivides the citations into print and non-print (audiovisual) materials. Readability ratings were assessed for the public and patient educational materials using the SMOG grading formula. The source (supplier) and (in some cases) the price are given in the individual citations. The annotations indicate the material's content and sometimes its intended audience. (wz).

COVID-19 is the most significant global crisis of any of our lifetimes. The numbers have been stupefying, whether of infection and mortality, the scale of public health measures, or the economic consequences of shutdown. Coronavirus Politics identifies key threads in the global comparative discussion that continue to shed light on COVID-19 and shape debates about what it means for scholarship in health and comparative politics. Editors Scott L. Greer, Elizabeth J. King, Elize Massard da Fonseca, and André Peralta-Santos bring together over 30 authors versed in politics and the health issues in order to understand the health policy decisions, the public health interventions, the social policy decisions, their interactions, and the reasons. The book’s coverage is global, with a wide range of key and exemplary countries, and contains a mixture of comparative, thematic, and templated country studies. All go beyond reporting and monitoring to develop explanations that draw on the authors' expertise while engaging in structured conversations across the book.

The significantly revised second edition of this unique practitioner guide features 65% new material and a new organizing structure. The authors show how to use motivational interviewing (MI) to have productive conversations about behavior change with adolescents and young adults in any clinical context. Noted for its clarity, the book includes extended case examples, sample dialogues, quick-reference tables, and "dos and don'ts." It provides vital tools for helping young people open up about their struggles, explore alternatives, and make healthier choices around such concerns as substance use, smoking, anxiety, medication adherence, and obesity. New to This Edition *More integrative and cohesive: every chapter weaves in diverse clinical issues, replacing the prior edition's population-specific chapters. *Chapters on MI in groups and involving caregivers in treatment. *Restructured around the current four-process model of MI, and proposes maintenance of change as a fifth process. *Incorporates the rapidly growing research base on MI with youth. *Reflects the ongoing refinement of the authors' training approach; includes skill-building activities at the end of each chapter. This book is in the Applications of Motivational Interviewing series, edited by Stephen Rollnick, William R. Miller, and Theresa B. Moyers.

Most people accessing mental health and addiction services have experienced trauma. For those working in community services, treatment agencies and hospitals, providing "trauma-informed care" requires an understanding of the effects of trauma, and of how to create programs, spaces and policies that place priority on trauma survivors' safety, choice and control. Becoming Trauma Informed describes trauma-informed practice at the individual, organizational and systemic levels. This multi-authored collection brings together the voices of those who have integrated trauma-informed principles into various mental health and addiction treatment and social service environments, and of the diverse groups with which they work. Becoming Trauma Informed is an important resource for those who are working, or who are planning to work asaddiction andmental healthpractitioners and program and system planners."
