Fears, anxieties, traumas, and physical and emotional shocks imprint on the body and remain dormant in its vast memory store until they are roused by an event or encounter. They may manifest in a different form or place—a fearful incident may transform itself into a stomachache or a headache, or even a chronic disease. Pain creates its own path. In particular, psychological and emotional stresses affect the functioning of the internal organs. In Understanding the Messages of Your Body, Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral explains the relationships that exist between internal organs and emotions, to allow us to free ourselves from the effects of present and past tensions and traumas. The book opens with an explanation of the body-mind relationship and goes on to show how physical-emotional therapy works based on examples from Dr. Barral’s clinical practice. The second part of the book offers detailed analyses of various “types” of human personality and the physical-emotional complexes and related organ dysfunctions that accompany them. The author offers advice and encouragement to improve physical, psychological, and emotional health, and recommends physical exercises, psychotherapeutic approaches, and dietary plans that can be used by both professional therapists and the average reader.

This manual teaches students and practitioners how to assess health and disease from an energetic perspective. It allows them to integrate energetic concepts into medical practice. Exploring the concept of health and disease from the perspectives of quantum physics and energetic principles, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathic medicine and Polarity Therapy, the book uses case histories to illustrate the application of energetic methods to practice. Case histories are accompanied by illustrations and give details of assessment made, treatment recommended and results of treatment. All concepts and practices advocated are critically assessed and supported by evidence.

Whether classified as regulators of inflammation, metabolism, or other physiological functions, a distinctive set of molecules enables the human body to convey information from one cell to another. An in-depth primer on the molecular mediators that coordinate complex bodily processes, Body Messages provides fresh insight into how biologists first identified this special class of molecules and the consequences of their discovery for modern medicine. Focusing on proteins that regulate inflammation and metabolism—including the cytokines and adipokines at the core of her own research—Giamila Fantuzzi examines the role body messages play in the physiology of health as well as in the pathology of various illnesses. Readers are introduced to different ways of conceptualizing biomedical research and to the advantages and pitfalls associated with identifying molecules beginning with function or structure. By bringing together areas of research usually studied separately, Fantuzzi stresses the importance of investigating the body as a whole and affirms the futility of trying to separate basic from clinical research. Drawing on firsthand interviews with researchers who made major contributions to the field, Body Messages illustrates that the paths leading to scientific discovery are rarely direct, nor are they always the only routes available.

Who will benefit from this? Anyone that has experienced desolation or knows of someone that has. This workbook was written during a healing time while in the beautiful space of Australia and New Zealand though the Creator of All, GOD, sometimes called the MYSTERY. Each lesson came from walking through my own desolation points. Each one being a seed for this workbook. My desire is to share each lesson. How each desolation point is turned from hopelessness, depression and despair to new hope self-discovery, finding your unique purpose, being loved, and finding grace and mercy given by Mystery. Birthing this workbook came with its own challenges from translating my thoughts into words that would bring clarity and healing to others.
