Review of a book about Michel Ney (presumably Marshal Ney: a dual life, by LeGette Blythe; published in New York in 1937). Michel Ney (also known as Marshal Ney) was a French soldier and military commander who served during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. Historians generally accept that Ney was executed for treason in Paris in 1815, but stories of Ney escaping to South Carolina and living under the name Peter Stuart Ney have continued to persist.
