The Op den Graeff/Updegraff/Updegrove family originally of Germany. Descendants of Herman Op den Graeff (1585-1605) of Krefeld, Germany. Three grandsons and a granddaughter (Herman, Dirck, Abraham and Mar- garet) arrived in Philadelphia with the now famous Krefeld immigrants aboard the 'Concord' in 1683, and settled in Germantown, Pa., an area which later became a section of Philadelphia.
