Two kingdoms, ancient enemies, must stand alone against an implacable invader in the masterful conclusion of the Great God’s War epic from the New York Times bestselling author of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. They are coming. The kingdoms of Belleger and Amika had been fighting for generations. But then they learned of a terrible threat moving through them to destroy the Last Repository, an immense hidden library. To face this greater enemy, King Bifalt of Belleger and Queen Estie of Amika allied their lands and prepared for war. They are at the door. Now the time of preparation is over. Black ships and sorcery test the cannon that defend the Bay of Lights. Treachery and betrayal threaten the kingdoms. The priests of the Great God Rile sow dissent. And Estie rides for the Last Repository, desperate to enlist the help of their Magisters—and to understand the nature of her own magical gift. They are here. Bifalt hates sorcery as much as he loves Estie, and the discovery that she could become a Magister shatters him. But he must rally and fight. Belleger and Amika are all that stand between the Great God’s forces and his ultimate goal: the destruction of the Last Repository and its treasure of knowledge.

Killing God's Enemies relates the origin, history and activities of the church of Christian Identity and its violent outgrowth called the Phineas Priesthood. In doing so, the book reveals the group's philosophy of hate; their methodology, which is death to all blacks, Jews, homosexuals and abortionists; and their goal, which is an America ruled by white men. The church of Christian Identity is a small and obscure religious denomination. Its radical arm— the Phineas Priesthood— barely registers on the radar screens of the general public's consciousness. That is, until it's too late. For the Phineas Priesthood is unlike any other priesthood. There is no seminary and no ordination. There is only one requirement: kill the enemies of God. Killing God's Enemies will tell the fantastic but true tale of how Christian Identity came to exist, where the idea of the Phineas Priesthood came from, relate the violent exploits of the Priesthood's lone warriors, and show how Anti-Semitism forms the fulcrum upon which Christian Identity pivots.

Why do some conservative / evangelical / fundamentalist Christians (CEF Christians throughout this book) eventually reject Christianity for an agnostic / atheist worldview? To determine why, the author reviewed spiritual biographies and memoirs of former CEF Christians and conducted an extensive online survey open to all agnostics and atheists who formerly were Christian. Nearly 1,600 responded. The author concludes that four primary factors contributed to their rejection of faith: 1) higher criticism of biblical texts; 2) scientific analysis and evolution; 3) the stridency of conservative politics within CEF churches, particularly anti-gay rhetoric; and 4) the inadequacy of various apologetic arguments regarding questions of theodicy (Why suffering? Why famine? Why children with cancer?) and the doctrine of eternal punishment (hellfire). How each of these interplays with one another and contributes to the difficult decision of some CEF Christians to renounce all faith is the subject of this book.

Jame is a Kencyr. Kencyrs are not native to the planet where they now live. For thirty centuries they have been the weapon that their Three-Faced God has used against the power of the Perimal Darkling. And though they have fought well, the Darkling has come to planet after planet, and the Kencyrs have moved on. Jame knows this as she stumbles out of the hilly, barren Haunted Lands into the city of Tai-tastigon. But she knows little else. She does not remember where she has been or what she has done for the last ten years of her life. Her memory goes back only a week or two¾to finding her home destroyed and all her family dead. In Tai-tastigon Jame begins a new life that seems to be at odds with all that the Kencyrs stand for. Kencyrs are honest and just, but Jame becomes an apprentice to the most renowned thief in the powerful Thieves' Guild. Kencyrs are confirmed monotheists, yet Jame explores the rituals and activities of the thousands of gods, templed and untempled, in this religious center; she even kills a god and then resurrects him. And at the inn, the Res aB'tyrr, where she lives, she finds herself using the most sacred dances of her people, dances she does not even remember learning, for the entertainment and sometimes the destruction of the inn's patrons. Within herself Jame finds power she does not want and doubts she defies her heredity to harbor. She moves through the rich and bloody stew of Tai-tastigon like a hot spice. Her probings, to find herself and to discover what her powers mean to her and her people, combined with influences already at work, very nearly destroy the city. And yet, they bring her face to face with a destiny she must accept. This is the first of several books. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).
