There may be among a hundred fragments, the unity of a pervading, thought, which is to be found in each of them, though not one of the pieces may properly fit in to, or link on closely with the other. So we think it will be seen. There is a lead ing idea throughout, as any careful reader will soon discover and by observing it, he may not only derive more profit from the Tracts, but be saved, perhaps, from mis-apprehen ding and mis-judging the Author.
