Excerpt from Juvenile-Court Statistics, 1927: Based on Information Supplied by 42 Courts The Children's Bureau prepares from the cards a set of 22 tables on printed forms for each court. These are sent to the courts for use in annual reports, if. Desired. The facts presented in these tables include charges, places children were cared for pending hearings, manner of dealing with cases, and dispositions. The number of different children dealt with, the number of repeaters, and certain social facts are also shown. For cases discharged from probation or supervision the length of the probation period and the reason for discharge are given. In a few instances the court preferred to compile its own tables in accordance with the Children's Bureau plan, instead of sending in cards.
