Excerpt from Journal of the Proceedings of the Fifty-Fourth Annual Convention, of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in South Carolina: Held in St. Michael's Church, Charleston, on the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th February, 1843; With Lists of the Clergy and Parishes, the Parochial Reports, the Constitution, Canons and Rules of Order, and the Standing Resolutions The Committee on unfinished business beg leave to report - That the following matters appear by the Journals of last: year to have been postponed for consideration to this Convention, viz. Two resolutions Offered by the Rev. Mr. Young, which were referred to the Committee on Education, and are are printed on page 28 of the Journal. A resolution proposed by Mr. Ladson in relation to the appointment Of a Committee, to consider the best mode Of providing for the relief of aged and infirm Clergymen. (see page 31 Of the Journal.) A motion for the adoption Of a new Rule of Order, in relation to the order in which the Bishop'shall vote, which motion will be found recorded on page 34 of the printed Journal.
