A Gospel-Rich, Reproducible Model for Making Disciples as Jesus Intended Biblical discipleship emphasizes encouragement, repentance, and spiritual growth—essential parts of the Christian life. However, well-meaning believers often struggle to follow Jesus, unaware their views are too legalistic, licentious, or individualistic. How can churches and Christians develop a healthy, successful path to disciple-making? In this second edition of Gospel-Centered Discipleship, Jonathan Dodson presents an effective, Spirit-led model for sanctification. Reminding readers that real discipleship is imperfect yet transformational, Dodson encourages Christians to engage more authentically with others as they grow in faith. Drawing from his own failures and successes while following Jesus, Dodson defines discipleship, describes the heart of a disciple, and gives practical guidance for mentor and peer-based discipleship as Jesus intended. Revised and Expanded: Includes three new chapters and new illustrations Applicable: Shows how discipleship can be practical and gospel-centered Theological: Addresses the Holy Spirit's involvement in discipleship Foreword by Matt Chandler: Author of The Explicit Gospel

Previously published in hardcover as King's Cross The most influential man to ever walk the earth has had his story told in hundreds of different ways for thousands of years. Can any more be said? Now, Timothy Keller, New York Times bestselling author of The Prodigal Prophet and the man Newsweek called a “C. S. Lewis for the twenty-first century,” unlocks new insights into the life of Jesus Christ as he explores how Jesus came as a king, but a king who had to bear the greatest burden anyone ever has. Jesus the King is Keller’s revelatory look at the life of Christ as told in the Gospel of Mark. In it, Keller shows how the story of Jesus is at once cosmic, historical, and personal, calling each of us to look anew at our relationship with God. It is an unforgettable look at Jesus Christ, and one that will leave an indelible imprint on every reader.

Society says youth is a time for carefree self-expression, but Trip Lee says God has called everyone to RISE from slumber, above low expectations, and to live for the risen King. The world tells us that our early years are to be irresponsibly enjoyed rather than devoted to meaningful pursuits. We’re told that responsibility and commitment are burdens to be put off as long as possible. And so, most of us spend our youth in a sad state of slumber—sleeping in on life until we’re forced to get up. The problem is that life has already begun. It’s happening right now. And God has called you to live it. In this powerful book, Trip Lee argues it’s time to wake up and RISE, to live the way we were created to live. Young or old, we’ve been called to live for Him. Right now. Young believers face the same problems as older Christians, but they feel them in unique ways. RISE addresses those core problems in an engaging, profound, and life-changing way. Don't just sit there: RISE!

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ stands as the most important event in human history. The Gospel writers understood this, devoting a proportionally large amount of space to Jesus's arrest, trial, crucifixion, and empty tomb. But how do the four Gospel accounts fit together? What really happened and what does it all mean? Combining a chronological arrangement of the biblical text with insightful commentary from Andreas J. Köstenberger, one of evangelicalism's brightest scholars, along with Justin Taylor, a well-known leader and blogger, this book offers readers a day-by-day guide to Jesus's final week on earth. Complete with a handy, quick-reference glossary and numerous maps illustrating key biblical locations, The Final Days of Jesus will help readers understand the geography, timeline, and background of Jesus's final days while serving as a devotional guide for meditating on the most important week in human history.

"Am I just an old fuddy-duddy or is there something wrong with the church?" That is the question that the Lord first posed to me in 2002. It was a homework assignment, and we needed to answer that interrogative before we could begin a new church plant. Two years later we had more than five hundred pages of handwritten notes, more questions, and a few answers. Since that time, we have continued to work on this question even as we have planted a church. In the process we have concluded that the failure to worship God as He prescribes, desires, expects, and deserves is the primary reason for the failure of the church to be the testimony in the world that God desires. This book is intended to stimulate thought on this vital topic. We will endeavor to provide some answers, but certainly, not all. Pastor Hitchcock was saved at the early age of four. At the age of twenty-two he had a consecration experience which changed everything. Soon after, he began seriously studying God's Word. In 1981, he was called to service as a missionary builder and served with Fellowship of Baptists for Home Missions for a number of years. After a period of time out of the ministry the Lord called again. This time, it was to plant a new church in the Canal Winchester, Ohio area. The process began in May of 2004 with a home Bible study and one unchurched couple. In September of 2005 the church was duly organized as Canal Community Baptist Church. In July 2008, the church acquired property on Hayes Road and the name was changed to Hayes Road Baptist to reflect the new home.

This is a book that can help us to understand that, in this world we are not alone, there is someone who said: your families will abandon you, your husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend will forsake you but me Jesus Christ, I will never let you go even on the hospital bed I will be there with you. Friends not body created God, we do not know were He came from, we believe to someone who does not have an end and nothing can defeat Him. Let us believe to Him through His begotten Son who shade His blood for us and we will have eternal life. Amen. Friends I was in hospital about a year in come but Jesus Christ Himself healed me.
