"Chemistry so electric it flies off the page."—RT Book Reviews 4 stars for Caught Up in a Cowboy What will this cowboy risk for love? Colt James is back home on the family ranch, and he's done taking risks. A car accident ruined his shot at a professional hockey career and messed up his love life, and he's not taking a chance on anything that seems too good to be true. Especially not on Chloe Bishop, his nephew's irresistibly charming teacher and the one woman he can't stop thinking about. Chloe Bishop liked her life the way it was—orderly, structured and safe. Life goes from managed to messy when Colt talks her into helping him coach a hockey team of rowdy eight-year-olds. Being this close to the cowboy she's crushing on is dangerous territory. But when a real enemy threatens Chloe, Colt will do anything to protect her. Even if it means risking himself—and his heart. A delightful cowboy romance, perfect for readers of Maisey Yates and Carolyn Brown! Cowboys of Creedence series: Caught Up in a Cowboy (Book 1) You Had Me at Cowboy (Book 2) It Started With a Cowboy (Book 3) Praise for Caught Up in a Cowboy: "Funny, complicated, and irresistible. Sometimes a cowboy isn't perfect but you got to love him anyway." —JODI THOMAS, New York Times bestselling author "Full of exquisite heat and passion...an enthralling combination of intense moments, playful banter and great depth of emotion."—Harlequin Junkie "An appealing story of love rediscovered...enjoy this tender tale."—Publishers Weekly

“A journey well worth taking.” —Abby Jimenez, New York Times bestselling author The New York Times bestselling author delivers an emotional, intimate work of women’s fiction centered on a young widow, and filled with reflections on love, loss, and finding hope, and even joy, after heartache—for fans of Josie Silver, Sophie Cousens, and Rebecca Serle. No marriage is perfect, but in Rachel Ackermann’s eyes, hers came close. From the very start, her love story with Josh was wonderful. There’s just one problem with stories: no matter how great the beginning, there’s also an ending. For Rachel and Josh, it comes suddenly and far too soon. Trying to move on without Josh feels impossible, and it’s tempting for Rachel to cocoon in the dark with the reminders of the life they should have shared. But her quirky, sometimes exasperating family won’t let that happen. And as Rachel is nudged back into the sunlight, she uncovers a trove of surprising secrets—and an opportunity to save a family legacy—and maybe save herself in the process . . . But it will mean forging an unexpected alliance with her late father’s unpopular young “trophy wife.” And then there’s Rache’s renewed bond with Campbell Scott, the boy who another lifetime ago broke her heart. Just when Rachel thinks she’s got everything figured out, she learns that in between beginnings and endings lie new chapters . . . “Through a heartbreaking exploration of love, loss, and grief, Finz weaves together a beautiful story of healing, hope, and unexpected second chances.” —Amy Pine, USA Today bestselling author

These short stories are the memories of a sixteen-year-old boy born and raised under the Big Sky, Montana. His dream of working on a ranch and becoming a cowboy was fulfilled in the late 1960s when he spent three summers on the "Sweet Grass," a four-generation ranch. He came to know what the predawn call to "rise and shine" meant, how it feels to milk a cow with callouses on your hands, to be tossed off the back of a horse and hang on to the reins, and all the other skills required to become a ranch hand. In the process, he came to love the ranch family and discover why his boss said that ranching is not for atheists since a farmer needs to partner with God Who is the Creator and, in His Word, gives clear instructions. Their reverence was expressed not in many words but in the way they treated their family, other people, their cattle, their dogs, and the land itself. They worked hard and rested on the Sabbath. They put their trust in God and were rewarded with His smile. During these summers of learning the ways of the land and the Sweet Grass, he became a young man and later moved to California. He had a successful thirty-seven-year career with a utility company, where all those skills served him well. He still remembers the smell of the grass in Montana and what he saw in the Big Sky.

To the readers of this little booklet: I wish to say that while some things in the story seem over-drawn, yet I have endeavored to write it entirely from a cowboy standpoint. To the sheepmen of the West: I want to say that I couldn't have written this story true to the cowboys' character without making a great many reflections on sheepmen, and I want to tender my apologies in advance for anything they may consider offensive, as some of my old-time and dearest friends in the West are among the large sheep owners. But I have been a cowboy and worked with the cowboys for thirty-two years, and have written the things set down here just as they came from the cowboys' lips on a stock train as we were waiting on sidetracks. The names of the cowboys used are the actual nicknames of cowpunchers whom I worked with on Wyoming ranges twenty years ago, and will be recognized by lots of old-timers.
