Joseph Peregois was born in about 1665, probably in France. He emigrated and settled in Baltimore County, Maryland. He married Sarah Mumford in about 1692. They had four children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. Romey or Romeo Perigo was born in 1779 in Maryland. He married Rhoda Hinman, daughter of Asahel Hinman and Mary, in 1801 in Kentucky. They had three children. He married Rachel McGill in 1823 in Warrick County, Indiana. They had four children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana. The author has not yet made the connection between Romey and the earlier Perigos in Maryland. The name is also spelled Peregoy and Pedigo.

Robert R. Niles was born 22 April 1758, probably in Stonington, Connecticut. His parents were Stephen Niles and Desire Pendleton. He married Tacy Barber in about 1780, possibly in Rhode Island. They had nine children. He died 14 September 1838 in Sempronius, New York. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Indiana and Oklahoma.

Daniel Druby/Trubey (1750-1807) was born in Burguffeln, Germany to Martha Elisabeth Trubey. He entered America as a Hessian soldier and deserted in 1783 in Maryland. About 1784 he married Margaret Mack (ca. 1756-1811) in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jacob Mack and Hannah Englehart. Daniel and Margaret had four children: Nancy Welty, David, Jacob, and Daniel. Descendants are traced three generations past Daniel and Margaret. Descendants migrated into Ohio and other places.
