The proportion of households in the United States with one television set or more was 94.1 percent in June 1967. This marks a continuation of the very gradual upward trend of recent years, during which the high percentage of households with TV sets left little room for furthur [sic] growth. This widespread presence of TV in recent years has also been accompanied by a continued reduction in the gap between those segments of our population with the lowest and highest percentages of TV sets. The percentage of households with two or more sets has been increasing, and reached 24.9 (percent) in June 1967. These increases occurred in all geographic areas and in all sizes of household classifications.
