India is one of the largest democracies in the world, having 28 states and seven union territories. The states have a common legal constitutional framework and administrative structure, but their internal political patterns vary considerably, conditioned by their performance and development. This book attempts to understand and analyze the complexities of Punjab politics in a holistic manner. Going deep into the historical, physical, demographic, social and economic background of it presents a critical analysis of the electoral history of the state covering the period from 1967 to 1992.
