INTRODUCTION Hi Poetry fans from all around the world. My name is Brett Johnson. First and foremost, I would like to say thank you for purchasing a copy of this eloquent, insightful, intellectual, introspective, thought provoking, sincere body of poetry work. This is my second published poetry book. I am even more proud of the creative thought process that penetrated from page one to the last. Basically, the title of the book is called “2008 Poetic Thoughts for the Summer, Fall, and first month of December. During that whole year of 2008, I kept a notepad daily. After every sunset, I would sit down, think a few minutes, and then jot down my inquisitive thoughts on how my genuine relationship with GOD keeps me animated through my ups and downs, smiles and frowns. This poetry book is a more detailed personal account of me as a human being, an imperfect man, a young adult struggling to find his own way to fit into this cold world of sin. Deep into my own zone of thought, I would constantly ask the lord Why do I Cry? Why did this sad event happen? If I was a husband or father, “Would I be this? Would I be that? The human spirit is so hopeless without the power of GOD in our lives. To all my diehard fans and soon to be fans, I really want you to personally digest, envision a few possible scenarios that could possibly relate to you in this book. How would you handle it? Would you give up? Would you continue to fight after you weep? Even if demons invade your dream, you can still show a proud, bright beam to your family, good, true, loyal friends, and best of all to GOD.

"William Wordsworth's beautiful quote on poetry, ""Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart,"" aptly describes the poems in the author's debut poetry book, Heartfelt Poems! When the breathings and pouring of the heart take the form of poems, they strike a chord with everyone. This book brings forth a compendium of thirty one poems, written in traditional style, catering to a wide range of human emotions, experienced in the ongoing journey of life. The poems, ""Dear God, I Wish to Thank You Today"" and ""A Plea to Humanity"", resurrect the faith in the Almighty and in humanity, whereas ""The Power of Positive Thoughts"" and ""Beautiful Lessons of Life"" inspire us to never give up. The author's love for nature is reflected in the poem ""Never Ever Cease to Appreciate"". In the section, ""Touching Tributes"", the author pays homage to women in ""An Ode to Women Power"" and Dr Abdul Kalam in ""A Tribute to a Great Soul"". In her medley of poems, ""Poetic Potpourri"", ""Simplicity"" and ""Your Attitude Defines Who You Are,"" are a must read! Followers of the author claim that she echoes their own sentiments through her Heartfelt Poems."

Jason Bunting's life was changed forever the day he was in a severe car accident, but not in the way most would imagine. His life was changed for the better that day, because his brush with death gave his life a new urgency and meaning. Aware now of how precious each day on this earth is, he began to explore his creative side. Here, in his first anthology of poems, he shares glimpses into his life and his challenges, his experiences and his reactions, and his fears and his hopes. Jason uses poetry as a form of self-expression and therapy. In Heart Felt Poems by Jason, he shares his thoughts on love, attraction, depression, joy, curiosity, and vulnerability. One young man's pain is transformed into heartfelt messages to himself and those he cares about in this life. Within his words is the self-portrait of a young soul as it emerged from darkness into a tentative new day.

John Roedel is a comic, husband and father of three boys based in Wyoming who began talking with "God" in 2015 on Facebook about his ongoing faith crisis. What began as a flippant way of making light of his doubts in the Divine turned into something he wasn't at all prepared for: God wrote back. Since creating the popular "Hey God. Hey John." blog on Facebook three years ago, John has tackled such topics as his journey to mental health wellness, his lack of faith, the joy and pain of raising a child with autism, and grief, all in the form of a simple conversation with God.

This is a fully annotated edition of all the poems which are now generally regarded as Shakespeare's, excluding The Sonnets. It contains Venus and Adonis, The Rape of Lucrece, The Phoenix and the Turtle, The Passionate Pilgrim, and A Lover's Complaint. The introduction to the two long narrative poems examines their place within the classical and Renaissance European traditions, an issue which also applies to The Phoenix and the Turtle. The Passionate Pilgrim is a miscellany of twenty sonnets and lyrics, containing only five poems which are certain to be Shakespeare's. John Roe analyses the conditions in which the collection was produced, and weighs the evidence for and against Shakespeare's authorship of A Lover's Complaint and the much-debated question of its genre. He demonstrates how in his management of formal tropes Shakespeare, like the best Elizabethans, fashions a living language out of handbook oratory.

A splendidly illustrated collection of poems inspired by young children that address common themes such as having a hard day at school, feeling shy or being a newcomer. The poems in Climbing Shadows were inspired by a class of kindergarten children whom poet and playwright Shannon Bramer came to know over the course of a school year. She set out to write a poem for each child, sharing her love of poetry with them, and made an anthology of the poems for Valentine’s Day. This original collection reflects the children’s joys and sorrows, worries and fears, moods and sense of humor. Some poems address common themes such as having a hard day at school, feeling shy or being a newcomer, while others explore subjects of fascination — bats, spiders, skeletons, octopuses, polka dots, racing cars and birthday parties. Evident throughout the book is a love of words and language and the idea that there are all kinds of poems and that they are for everyone — to read or write. Cindy Derby’s dreamy watercolor illustrations gently complement each poem. Beautiful, thoughtful, sensitive and funny, this is an exceptional collection.
