This book is the second revised edition of International Economic Law, first published in 1989. Events since the first edition have required important modifications and additions. This edition takes account of events up to October 1991. It deals with all rules of public international law having direct influence on economic relations. Special attention is paid to the claims for a new International Economic Order, the extraterritorial reach of domestic legislation, the effects of nationalization, the protection of the environment, to State immunity and to economic warfare. The presentation follows the sequence of topics used in most standard textbooks of public international law.
