Excerpt from Preliminary Study of White Spruce in Minnesota The data obtained on growth, yield, and distribution of white spruce in the state have been assembled and the approximate returns which may be expected from young stands or plantations determined. Since little information on this species has been published it is thought that this study, tho not complete in itself, will be helpful to the state in its reforestation work, to the individuals who have land suited to spruce, or to corporations that may wish to grow a perpetual supply Of spruce for industrial purposes.
