In this adventure book, a group of young teens held captive in an amusement park find out they have special powers, but their special powers include consequences. They are not allowed to go outside of the resort. The outside world has special chemicals in the air that they cannot breathe in because of their powers. The invisible barrier surrounding the resort keeps them safe from the chemicals. Jack, the newest teen to the group, wakes up with Amnesia inside the main park. He meets the group and becomes an official member. The CEO of the park tells them they need to push buttons in every ride around the park to restore the shrinking barrier. They soon meet Ryder, a ride operator that tells them Luke, a crazy person who believes there is a button in the mountain that will make him immortal. If he manages to get inside the mountain, everybody in the outside world will be exposed to the deadly chemicals.

The story of a grizzly bear named Millie: her life, death, and cubs, and what they reveal about the changing character of the American West. Grand Prize Winner of the Banff Mountain Book Competition An “ode to wildness and wilderness” Down from the Mountain tells the story of one grizzly in the changing Montana landscape (Outside Magazine). Millie was cunning, a fiercely protective mother to her cubs. But raising those cubs in the mountains was hard, as the climate warmed and people crowded the valleys. There were obvious dangers, like poachers, and subtle ones, like the corn field that drew her into sure trouble. That trouble is where award-winning writer, farmer, and conservationist Bryce Andrews’s story intersects with Millie’s. In this “welcome and impressive work” he shows how this drama is “the core of a major problem in the rural American West—the disagreement between large predatory animals and invasive modern settlers”—an entangled collision where the shrinking wilds force human and bear into ever closer proximity (Barry Lopez). “The two sides of Bryce Andrews—enlightened rancher and sensitive writer—appear to make a smooth fit . . . Precise and evocative prose.” —The Washington Post “Rife with lyrical precision, first-hand know-how, ursine charisma, and a narrative jujitsu flip that places all empathy with his bears, Down from the Mountain is a one-of-a-kind triumph even here in the home of Doug Peacock and Douglas Chadwick.” —David James Duncan, author of The River Why “Would that we had more nature writing like Bryce Andrews’s fantastic second book, Down from the Mountain . . . A subtle and beautifully unexpected book.” —Literary Hub

Two grizzly shifters rarely bind themselves together in haste, but what if a shifter’s mate is human? Heather Simmons is excited to start a new job in Alberta, Canada, as a glaciologist. But when a minor accident leaves her trapped on a hiking trail overnight, she finds herself facing a burly mountain man and a pair of grizzly bears. From that moment forward, things could not get weirder. Isaiah Arthur knows instinctively that Heather is his mate the moment he scents her clothing before heading up the mountain to rescue her. The sensation is confusing since she is obviously human, and converting a human to his species is strictly forbidden. A rogue shifter takes Heather’s transition out of Isaiah’s hands, however. Isaiah is left with no choice but to take her home and find a way to inform her of her unintended fate, while fighting the intense need to make her his as soon as possible. The North American governing body, the Arcadian Council, is not amused by the rare turning of a human, and chaos ensues as Isaiah races against the clock to bind his mate to him forever before someone steps in the way and takes the opportunity out of his hands. This book is a re-release of a previously published book. No additions or changes have been made to the story.

Penned in rhyme and wonderfully illustrated, Grizzly Adams and the Bridge to the Meadow (ages 3 to 7) teaches the effectiveness of teamwork, overcoming challenges, and the satisfaction achieved by accomplishing important goals. It is the first of a series of children's books offering new Grizzly Adams stories for both young and old to enjoy. "By 1836 the beaver trade was starting to wind down, and trappers like Zach Connors, known as Grizzly Killer, were having to find other ways to get the supplies they had become accustomed to. Zach had found gold nuggets in a creek in the sacred mountains of their home, which he used to make up for the lack of beaver pelts. The Utes and Shoshone alike believe the gold in the creek was given to Grizzly Killer, but no one was allowed to dig for it. After losing everything over a misunderstanding with a Crow hunting party, a group of former Hudson Bay men were ready to leave the mountains. Zach along with his Shoshone allies save these men from certain death at the hands of the Crow. Having nothing left, and feeling desperate for a new start, the men then dig for gold, angering the sacred and mighty Spirit of the Mountain." --
