Grimbolt --- as a result of a miscast spell --- has the body of a bear with human, but furry, hands and feet. He has no memory of his identity and past. With his companions, Alsenius, a high-level warrior, and Njal, an Illusionist, he seeks his identity among the Northwestern kingdoms. Opposed by the Priestesses of the Pythoness they explore and serve.

Successful businessman Harry Tucker suffers a stroke and wakes up in a rehabilitation center after a long coma. Unable to move or talk and working hard just to regain his own sense of self, Harry soon realizes that the stroke he suffered, coupled with the measures taken by his uncompassionate son, have led him to lose everything--not only all material possessions but also his personal identification and access to benefits. Despair and defeat overtake him, but not for long. Harry does not forget about God because God has not forgotten about him. Determined to still lead a meaningful life, Harry begins a long, arduous journey of recovery. Helping and motivating him is a physical therapist with whom he develops a deep, lasting friendship. In the process Harry rediscovers the love of God and the joys of a Christ-centered life, a life of giving, even to those who may not seem deserving of forgiveness. Escape From Bondage gives voice to the countless stroke victims who may have been forgotten and abandoned by the rest of society and, sadly, even their families in their time of need. The tale serves as a revelation of what goes on inside an immobile, unresponsive stroke victim's mind--the fears, the loneliness, the frustration, the agony, the desires. More broadly, the story evokes the compassion we are called to have--but often neglect--for those whose lives are confined to hospitals, nursing homes, or their own homes, those who are yearning to reach out for someone to love and encourage them.

Structure plays an important role in heterogeneous catalysis. It provides a framework for the arrangement and stragetic placement of key catalytic elements, hosting them in a prescribed manner so that their respective electronic properties can exhibit their desired catalytic functions and mutual interactions. Under reaction conditions these framework structures and their catalytic guests undergo dynamic processes becoming active participants of the overall catalytic process. They are not mere static geometric forms. The dynamics of catalytic structures are particularly vivid in selective oxidation catalysis where the lattice of a given catalytic solid partakes as a whole, not only its surface, in the redox processes of the reaction. The catalyst becomes actually a participating reagent. By proper choice of key catalytic elements and their host structures, preferred catalytic pathways can be selected over less desired ones. However, not only in selective redox catalysis does structure play an important role, its importance is also well documented, among others, in shape selective zeolite catalysis, enantioselective hydrogenation and hydrodesulfurization. The contributions presented in this book address the dynamic character of the solid state under catalytic reaction conditions. By relating structure to activity and selectivity in heterogeneous catalysis our understanding of such correlations has been significantly enhanced through the use of sophisticated spectroscopic means, surface science and modeling.
