During his business career, he held prominent positions with several oil companies. He reached executive levels of President and CEO before leaving the business world to enter full-time ministry. He was ordained in 1990 by Lakewood Church (Houston, Texas) which was his home church from 1985 to 1995. During that time, he was mentored by Dr. John Osteen and traveled extensively in the United States and abroad as an evangelist and teacher.
