After 12 years of disabling, undiagnosed sickness for her son, the author had all but lost hope. Twenty years ago, a young pastor began keeping a diary of the great moves of God’s Spirit in his family and church. He saw mountain-moving miracles and dynamic answers to prayer. Month by month, he wrote down the prayers, the petitions, the headaches and heartaches. Always,he found victory through the One who lives in him, and who lives in each of God’s children! This devotional will remind you every day that as the Psalmist wrote, “This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!”

God and Satan, good and evil, the first and last war. A war not taking place in heaven but here on earth. A war in the invisible spiritual world that goes on as we live from day to day. People generally want and desire to be good but often find it hard to be because Satan has created so many avenues into our world and lives. Being invisible, deceitful, and very crafty, we're defenseless and no match for him, so God protects us when we ask for his help. A lot of us help our enemy in defeating us by lacking faith in God and believing Satan's lies and deceit. Some people don't believe in God or Satan, but both exist and affect our lives. Not believing and allowing Satan into our lives defeat us because he uses us for his purposes. God blessed me, after living a terrible life, to see and experience how Satan deceives us. God has blessed me to share my story with you in order to expose Satan and allow you to see him at work in your lives and let you know that you need God to defeat him. If you can't recognize him, you don't know you're being deceived; but God will reveal him to you because Satan can't deceive God.

Christian Author and Speaker, Karen Norton, has written Marginalysis "" Building Margin into our Busy Lives, as a window into her own practice of establishing healthy boundaries. She defines this creative term by saying, Marginalysis is all about self-care and how to build and maintain healthy God-honoring margin in your life. In fourteen short but power-packed chapters, Karen illustrates how to integrate this principle into key areas impacting the development of body, soul, and spirit so that stress is reduced and the pressure of life's demands do not prevent the blessings of deepening our relationship with God. For those who are struggling with finding consistent devotional time and managing the chaos of life, Karen's book will be a guide and inspiration to establishing margins that result in renewal and refreshing. Marginalysis is God's Word activated in every area of our life and ministry. I highly recommend it as a timely encouragement in stressful times. Dr. Gaylan D. Claunch Superintendent North Texas District Assemblies of God Karen F. Norton is passionate about helping people strengthen their walk with the Lord by knowing, loving, and living out God's Word in everyday life. An ordained minister, she served on a church staff for thirty years. www.karennorton.com

I just finished it, and I don’t have words to tell you what an impact your book and your life have on me. You have been through so much, and you have come through it all with such a strength and a compassion for all those around you. I am HONORED to be your friend in addition to have a little part in this book! You are a natural when it comes to telling your story. The ending is perfect! I think it lends itself to the reader wanting more. So keep writing, and I will keep reading! —Sue Erps My reading has been interrupted several times, but I am getting through it. I hesitate to say I am enjoying your story because I am horrified by all that you have had to endure. It is a real testimony to God’s goodness to see the woman you are today. Thank you for sharing this with me. I am afraid I am not smart enough to offer help in any way except to say that your story so far is gripping. I look forward to reading the rest. —Debi Swim

ChuHao eyes staring at the animal bones, breathing gently, as if afraid to disturb something. If you look closely, you will find that his right arm has not moved at all from beginning to end, but only his wrist and five fingers. His left wrist is as flexible as a snake, soft as a bone, with five fingers flying, leading five elegant arcs on the skull and constantly converging between the eyebrows of the skull.

The American suburb is a space dominated by architectural mass production, sprawl, as well as a monotonous aesthetic eclecticism, and many critics argue that it has developed from a postwar utopia into a disorienting environment with which it is difficult to identify. The typical suburb has come to display characteristics of an atopia, that is, a space without borders or even a non-place, a generic space of transience. Dealing with the representation of architecture and the built environment in suburban literature and film from the 1920s until present, this study demonstrates that in its fictional representations, too, suburbia has largely turned into a place of non-architecture. A lack of architectural ethos and an abundance of "Junkspace" define suburban narratives, causing an increasing sense of disorientation and entropy in fictional characters.

The recent deaths of celebrities like Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger, and Whitney Houston have shown a spotlight on the overuse and abuse of prescription drugs. Most people believe that prescription drugs are safer than illegal substances. But, when combined with other over-the-counter sedatives, prescription drugs can be every bit as powerful, addictive, and dangerous. In 2006, overdoses on a class of prescription pain relievers called opioid analgesics killed more people than those killed by overdoses on cocaine and heroin combined. Right now, among 35 to 54 year olds, poisoning by prescription drugs is the most common cause of accidental death—even more so than auto-related deaths. In Medicines That Kill, Dr. Marcum shines a light on the addictive power of prescription medication and how you can protect yourself and your family by practicing healthy habits.
