Reverend Doctor Minh Van Lam was born into a Buddhist family in 1939 in Bac Lieu Province, South Vietnam. His mother said family and friends thought he would live until three years after his birth. After he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1947, when he was eight years old, he asked God to let him live until he was eighteen years old so that he could work and make money for his mother, and then he would die. But God performed miracles, allowing him to continue living. These are some highlights from his early career: He graduated from the National School of Pedagogy in Saigon in 1959. He graduated from the English Language School of the Defense Language Institute in Lackland Air Force Base to become a teacher of the English language in 1968. He was a public elementary school principal and high school teacher in Soc Trang, South Vietnam, as well as the Armed Forces Language School instructor of the South Vietnam Army in Saigon. He holds a bachelor of arts in biblical studies from the Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland, a master of divinity from the Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland, and a doctor of ministry from the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has been a mission pastor of Grand Ave Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas; Vietnamese Hope Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia; Vietnamese United Baptist Church in Austin, Texas; First Baptist Church of Pensacola, Florida; Vietnamese Gospel Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida; and Vietnamese Gospel Baptist Church of Alexandria, Virginia (from 1987 to 1995 and 2010 to the present). He was an adjunct professor of the Boyce Bible College of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Extension and the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington, Virginia, and was vice president of the Vietnamese Baptist Theological School in Dallas, Texas. He has been a speaker at Vietnamese National Church conferences in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia, as well as a speaker for the Alpha and Omega Program at Vietnam Public Radio in Washington, DC. His sermons may be found online at www.vietgospel.org, www.vietchristian.com, and www.tinlanhhyvong.com.

A miracle is defined in the dictionary as an ‘extraordinary, supposedly supernatural event; remarkable happening.’ Throughout the Bible, we see God performing miracles or supernatural, remarkable happenings. Miracles show God’s willingness to intervene in human affairs when we call upon Him. They also undoubtedly display God’s limitless power, His tender mercies and His faithfulness in achieving miraculously what He has promised. In other words, there are attributes of God that we see in the miracles He performs. This insightful book is a collection of all the miracles in the Bible, both Old and New Testament miracles. I thought that if one were to read one miracle after another, this might boost one’s faith in God and give a better understanding of the different attributes of God. I believe that in every miracle, we see the love, care, willingness to help, and mighty power of God. There was a conscious decision not to create an unhealthy fascination with miracles, but to present the God behind the miracles. It is easier to trust someone when you know him. In the same way, I wanted the presentation of each miracle to present the love, care, goodness, and power of God. This way, readers would know God better and be able to trust Him for their personal struggles in which God is needed to intervene. I hope this book will let readers know God better.

Through the ages up to and including ours, Catholics have witnessed or heard about miraculous events that offer supernatural evidence of God's existence and involvement in our lives. Here is a selection of astonishing true stories that will leave you convinced of the reality of God like never before. This remarkable collation includes the accounts of: Angry 15-year-old Cynthia, who scorns her mother's belief that God will always provide—until she sees an incredible result. (“Thanksgiving Angel”) Dawn, who although not Catholic is asked by her dying son if she too can see “Mary” at his bedside. (“Pretty Lady”) Courtney, in tears and praying in the back seat of her mother's car after it had stalled, watches the impossible as the gas gauge needle suddenly begins moving above E. (“Fueled by Faith”) Terrie, a cash-strapped newlywed who skips a weekly milk purchase only to marvel at how long their one gallon lasts. (“The Milk Jug”) Martha, who after 50 years still feels the flood of God's love for her nine-year-old self, who had asked Him for healing and then looked in the mirror. (“Warts and All”) Romona, who felt a tapping on her shoulder—twice!—before turning and rescuing her brother. (“My Brother's Keeper”) James, a six-year-old whose confidence never wavers, even after losing his trusted knife when fishing. (“The Fish, the Knife, and Saint Jude”) Gene, who works three jobs to care for his family and prays for $311—exactly. (“Ask and You Shall Receive”) The Everyday Catholicism series from Chicken Soup for the Soul and Sophia Institute Press are books not only about “living the Faith,” but also about a Faith that is living. These powerful, uplifting stories show the love of God and His actual presence and engagement in our lives—if only we have the eyes to see! A great gift for Confirmation, RCIA, birthdays, weddings, and holidays.

In 2004, Tatiana wrote a brief autobiography, Autobiography of a Faith Healer, which was the starting point for this book. As a result of our ongoing friendship, Tatiana asked me to write a more complete history about her life's work incorporating text from her second writing Miracles and Mysteries of God, articles, photographs, testimonials, and material from our personal discussions in an effort to educate, spread word of God's miracles, and bring hope to people who in desperation feel that they have nowhere to turn. Devoted to God her entire life, Tatiana is a selfless individual who prays for millions of people every day. She calls herself one of God's soldiers, and doing God's work is her life mission. In Tatiana's words, "With God, anything is possible. All you have to do is ask, and be open to being healed. We work . . ."

Through the greatness of Good's Power shall His enemies submit to Him. The anointing upon Jesus Christ made Him to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and do other mighty things in His Earthly Ministry. And Apostle Paul said, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God" (1 Cor. 2:4-5). You are about to study the things that will make God's Miracle-working Power show forth in your life, and through you to others.
