From the author of the bestselling children's book When God Made You comes a rhythmic, whimsical journey through creation--for little readers who love science and wonder and the beginnings of all things. For spiritual parents who are looking for a different kind of creation book, Matthew Paul Turner's When God Made the World focuses on the complex way that God created our vast and scientifically operating universe, including the biodiversity of life on our planet and the intricacies of a vast solar system. Scottish illustrator Gillian Gamble brings the natural world to vibrant life with rich colors and poignant detail certain to stretch young minds and engage imaginations. Planet Earth, God made a blue and green sphere, And designed it to orbit the sun once a year. God made daytime and nighttime, climates and seasons, And all kinds of weather that vary by region. God made continents and oceans, islands and seas, A north and south pole that God put in deep freeze. God carved rivers and brooks, mountains and caves, Made beaches with sand and huge crashing waves. God made tropics and plateaus, glaciers and meadows, marshes and tundras and erupting volcanos.

As seen on The Today Show When she was fifteen years old, Leslie King ran away from an abusive home, looking for a better life and longing for real love. What she found instead was a man who wooed her just long enough to trap her in a life of prostitution. She became one of the many thousands of trafficked individuals in the United States, a number that continues to rise--in the biggest cities and in the most idyllic towns. As is true for so many in similar situations, life was nothing but brokenness and pain for Leslie. After years of hopelessness, she finally decided to take her own life. And then God spoke. With his promise that he was with her and had mighty things for her to accomplish ringing in her ears, she got off the streets, got clean, and got to work on the mission to which he'd called her. Now Leslie is a passionate and heroic advocate for other trafficked women and teenage girls in her community and across the country. More than a gritty, no-holds-barred deliverance story, When Angels Fight includes powerful advice from Leslie and those she's encountered in her work--police officers, judges, and other advocates and activists. She also shows you what YOU can do to make a real difference in your own community. Her call from God includes marshaling others to the cause and equipping them to fight alongside her and the angels who battle for God's children--just as they once fought for her.

God's Rainbow Promise is a book that looks at the issue of human sexuality through the lens of the three-legged stool that the Anglican Church has used for centuries. The legs of the stool are represented by the areas of scripture, tradition, and reason. This book is meant to provide a start for a group to begin a conversation with each other. It emphasizes that God made the promise of the Rainbow to all Noah's descendants. This is one of the reasons that the symbol of the rainbow became a symbol for the homosexual community to recognize safe places. Please make the place you meet to discuss this book with others a safe place for all. My prayer for those who read God's Rainbow Promise is that they will come away with an appreciation for the opinion of the other, and that we are all God's children, and that there is strength in diversity. Above all, I pray that we live into the summation of God's law found in Matthew chapter 22, by loving God with all of our heart, with all of our mind, and all of our soul, and loving our neighbor as ourselves. The Rev. Lauri Kerr grew up on a dairy farm in North Central Pennsylvania. Received a BA in Psychology from Mansfield University and a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Mansfield University. Attended and graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary, she was ordained as an Episcopal Priest on December 12, 2001. She severed several small parishes during her 17 years of ordained ministry. She currently serves the three parishes of GLEAM (Greater Lycoming Episcopal Area Ministry). Rev. Kerr has been with her wife Mary since 2002. She enjoys golf and bowling. Her main hobbies are collecting Elvis memorabilia and being a movie buff. Rev. Kerr has traveled to Israel and Myanmar. These experiences of overseas travel and life experience of having Turner syndrome and being a lesbian have led her to be a fierce advocate for inclusivity within the Episcopal Church.

Rest in the Rainbow is more than a book—it’s a wake-up call, intended to give you meaningful instruction on how to step into your true identity so that you can strengthen your relationship with God and pursue His calling for your life. As children of God and ambassadors for His Kingdom, our mission is to build up the body of believers and point others in the direction of Christ. There is work that God must do in your heart in order to align it with His before He can work through you. When you read the stories in the Bible, there’s a common theme: God used the most unqualified people to carry out His assignments and work some of His greatest miracles. This is the same God Who still lives today, and He desires to do incredible things in your life and in the lives of others. Through practical advice and exploring dozens of God’s promises, Stephanie shows how God wants us to fully understand our identity in Him, and how to be fully equipped to walk in the authority of our God-given purpose. She reveals the value of godly discipline and discernment in order to give us the right perspective, as well as the necessary steps we must take in order to fulfill our calling. Take heart in His promises—they’ve never been broken.

In 2002, my life changed forever. Within a nine-week period after turning fifty, my marriage failed, I had a major stroke and I was struggling just to survive. This story is about learning to trust and lean on God and his promise. Finding a way to keep hope alive and endure lifes disappointments. For me the challenge was finding a way to pick up all the broken pieces of a shattered life and start over. This is about knowing broken paths in life lead to new beginnings. Patience when standing at a crossroad in life makes a difference in the direction, you choose. I know that Gods timing is the right time because he answered my prayer. He sent an unexpected visitor to my front door in time to save my life. Spiritually and physically, God has healed me. I would like to convey to you by writing this story that you should never let anyone take your desire to live. If anything I write about my personal life helps one person, than I have accomplished what I set out to do.
