Giants' Blood Nephilim blood has amazing healing powers that raise ethical questions about how it should be used and abused. Summary: A big secret was kept hidden deep in the magical Eldoria forest. Eldrin was a kind giant who had the strange power to heal blood. He lived a quiet life until a little girl named Lily found him. When word got out about Eldrin's amazing skills, the people who lived in the forest and the nearby village would never be the same again. Lily and her friend Milo had to make a tough moral choice: should they protect Eldrin from people who would use his skills for personal gain, or should they use them to make the world a better place? When word got out that Eldrin's blood could heal, a cruel investor became interested in how he could use his skills to make money. In answer to the threat, Lily, Milo, and Eldrin came up with ways to keep the secret safe so that the giant's gift could continue to help people without getting into the wrong hands. Due to their hard work, several secret healings were carried out, which helped the sick and hurt and kept Eldrin's amazing powers a secret. But the trader kept chasing them, and the three of them decided to stand their ground with the help of the animals in the woods. This led to an intense fight that showed how powerful community and working together can be. The peasants, who had gotten help from Eldrin's kindness in the past, worked with Lily, Milo, and the people who lived in the forest to protect their guardian from being taken advantage of. "Giants' Blood" is an epic that shows how powerful humanity can be, how important it is to protect the weak, and how friendships can't be broken. It shows how the actions of a few people motivated by love and kindness can have a positive effect that heals wounds and brings light into dark places. Lastly, Lily, Milo, and Eldrin show that they are more than just story heroes. They show that being kind to each other can heal you and that the most amazing things start in your heart. This story takes place in the magical Eldoria woods and has a strong message about community, sacrifice, and keeping the magic that brings us all together safe. Chapter 1: What They Found Lily chose one early morning to explore the secret parts of the forest near her home. There, she could hear the sounds of animals she couldn't catch and old trees rustling. As she walked through the woods, she came across a part of the forest she had never seen before. She was excited and interested in what she might find. There was a lovely, quiet glade with the smell of wildflowers in the air and light shining through the trees. In the middle of this beautiful area, Lily saw something she didn't expect: a kind giant named Eldrin who was sitting alone and sad. Lily saw that Eldrin had a small cut on his arm. Even though the cut wasn't very big, it was enough to bother him. She watched from behind a tree so as not to scare the giant. Then an amazing thing happened. They touched the ground and some blood from Eldrin fell on it. The grass changed. Bright flowers opened up almost right away, filling the air with a lovely scent and a riot of color. Lily couldn't believe what she saw! She had never seen anything like it before. The flowers in the glade were bright and happy, like little bursts of happiness. Lily came out from where she was hiding, shocked and amazed, and went up to Eldrin. She told them her name and asked about the magical flowers. Even though he was shocked to see her, Eldrin gave her a warm smile. He told them that his blood was different and that he was a Nephilim, a monster from old myths. Eldrin told Lily that his blood could fix broken bones, make the world whole again, and add beauty where it was lacking before. But he told her how worried he was and stressed how important it was to keep this present a secret. If the wrong people found out about his blood, they might try to use it against him without thinking about what would happen. Lily paid close attention to what Eldrin said and realized how bad things were. A strong sense of trust and friendship grew between them, and she promised to keep Eldrin's secret. Lily knew right away that this discovery was more than just finding out about Eldrin's magic ancestry. It was about discovering the world's secrets and marvels and meeting new people in the strangest places. Lily and Eldrin looked at the pretty flowers together, which was a sign of their new friendship and the magical secret they both kept hidden deep in the mysterious forest. Chapter 2: Making a Choice. Lily had to make a tough choice and keep a big secret after she found something amazing in the hidden glade. She knew that Eldrin was a very good healer, but she also knew how important it was to keep that a secret. Lily's heart was pulled in two different ways. It made her feel different things as she told everyone the good news. She thought about how Eldrin's mending miracle would change the world by helping many people and animals. On the other hand, she remembered Eldrin's soft look and how he trusted her to keep his information secret. Lily didn't want to tell anyone about her new friend's powerful skill because she thought they might abuse it or put him in danger. When Lily wasn't sure what to do and needed help, she went to Milo, her best friend. Milo wasn't like most friends; he listened carefully and thought things through before responding. Milo was shocked when Lily told everyone about the glade's secret and Eldrin's special blood, but he knew that Lily's choice was very important. In the shade of an old oak tree, they talked about the options and decided what was best for Eldrin and anyone else who could use his skills. Lily and Milo thought about what to do for a long time before making up their minds. They agreed that Eldrin's abilities should be used to help people in real need while keeping his identity secret and keeping him safe. This meant they had to be very careful about who they helped and how they did it. Even though they worked very hard, they knew that not all sick or hurt people could be fixed. Instead, they would look for cases where Eldrin's recovery could have a big effect without drawing too much attention to itself. This choice showed how much Lily and Milo cared and how wise they were. They knew how important it was to find a balance between wanting to help and needing to be protected. They promised Eldrin that they would put their lives at risk to keep his secret and use his gift in a smart and responsible way. Lily and Milo chose this road and started on a trip that would be both rewarding and difficult. As the silent keepers of a strong secret, they learned about friendship, trust, and what it really means to help. Their choice showed how mature they were and how well they understood that sometimes the hardest choices lead to the best results. They took a step forward on their own, ready to handle the challenges of their secret task while keeping Eldrin's safety and health in mind. Chapter 3: The First Miracle. The well-thought-out plan by Lily and Milo to use Eldrin's strange gift to help people in need while keeping his secret safe didn't take long to carry out. As they walked through the woods one day, they came across a rabbit. This wasn't a normal animal lying on the ground, so thin and hurt it was hard to tell what it was. The deer clearly had a leg injury that had been there for a while and would take a long time to heal. Lily and Milo both broke down in tears when they saw how much pain the deer was in. They knew it was time to keep their promise, but they also knew they would need Eldrin's permission to move forward. They ran back to the glade quickly to find Eldrin. They were full of hope. They talked about what had happened and how they thought Eldrin's special blood could ease the deer's pain. Out of kindness and care, Eldrin quickly offered to help. He was sure that Lily and Milo would use his gift wisely, and he knew how important their choice was. Lily and Milo were careful not to hurt Eldrin while they took a single drop of blood from him. Then they turned their attention back to the hurt deer, feeling both hope and worry. They carefully put the drop of blood on the deer's wound while muttering soothing words. What happened next was nothing short of amazing. The cut started to heal, and the leg got stronger right in front of their eyes. The deer quickly got to its feet, and its eyes shone with new life. It said "thank you" to Eldrin, Milo, and Lily in a real way before jumping off into the forest.

The 1986 New York Giants are legendary. They were dominant on the field and formed a unique and lasting bond off of it. More than thirty years later, it's the friendships that have proved more important--a matter of life and death. In Once a Giant, bestselling football writer Gary Myers tells the story of that team and what became of it. Gridiron glory eventually faded; chronic pain, addiction, and in some cases crimes have followed. Many football players face these harsh realities, but the Giants have confronted and survived them together. From the award-winning explorer, “an entertaining summary of what we know about the elephant, and a call to change our behavior to ensure its survival” (Daily Mail). The Last Giants satisfies British explorer Levison Wood’s lifelong desire to learn more about the majestic African elephant. These giants trek through some of Africa’s most magnificent landscapes as they go in search of life-giving waters and pastures. El Nino’s droughts and an insatiable ivory trade have cut African elephant numbers by a third in the last decade alone, and if elephants disappear entirely, Africa’s entire ecosystem could collapse. But Botswana has become a safe haven, where one-sixth of the world’s elephants now reside. Each year their numbers grow and an incredible migration takes place, which Wood witnesses and records. He teams up with local trackers to gain insight into how this iconic species survives, camps out in the wild, meets the people and tribes living on the migration’s path, and joins the park rangers whose job it is to protect these land goliaths, equipped with his “good eye for detail and better ear for dialogue” (The Wall Street Journal). “Adventurer Wood followed elephants on a 650-mile migration across Botswana for a British television program. This fascinating companion volume to that series examines the past, present, and future of the African elephant.” —Library Journal (starred review) “A smart, inviting portrait of elephants from a keen-eyed observer.” —Kirkus Reviews “A rewarding look at the habits and habitats of the African elephant . . . Comprehensively yet accessibly conveying Wood’s lifelong fascination with African elephants, his discussion will appeal to anyone keen on learning more about them.” —Publishers Weekly

Mankind has ever been fascinated by extraordinary aspects of humanity, but none so much as giants. Many ancient gods, and indeed kings and emperors, were said to be vast in size: witness, for instance, the colossal statues of Egypt, China or the South Seas. But the palm for bigness must go to those giant beings whom we find amid the chaos in the East: like that Tiamat from whom the Babylonian god Bel formed heavens and earth; and Purushu of the Hindu Vedas, whose severed head was sufficient for making the sky, his feet for the earth, his eye for the sun, and his mind for the moon. Herein are 25 stories of giants from the annuls of fact and fiction around the world compiled and retold by Henry Wysham Lanier. Lanier has categorised the stories into four parts being: I Giants Of The Morning Of The World II From The Days Of Romance III Nursery Tales of Giants from Many Lands IV Real Giants The stories in these four sections are: I. How Zeus Fought With Titans And Giants II. The Giant Who Shines In The Sky III. The Outwitting Of Polyphemus IV. When Thor Went To Jotunheim V. The Giant Pyramid-Builder VI. The Fatal Pride Of Vukub VII. Og, King Of Bashan VIII. A Son Of Anak IX. Ferragus, Who Owned The Brazen Head X. The Giant Of St. Michael's Mount XI. Sir Launcelot And Tarquin XII.
