The immigrant ancestor Edward Perry was born abt. 1630, and came probab- ly from Devonshire, England. He first appears in the records of Sandwich, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts in Nov. 1652. He married Mary Freeman abt. 1653. She was a daughter of Edmond Freeman and his second wife Elizabeth Rayner. The Freeman family had immigrated to America from England in 1635. They also lived in Sandwich, Mass. Descendants live in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Texas, New York, Connecticut and elsewhere.
