Upon request, I have added the following words: girl, boy, me, here, little, house, went, help, big & play. This is First 100 Fry Sight words worksheets for sight word for preschoolers, Kindergarten sight word practice to sight word 2nd grade On each page, ten words are presented in large print. Below the sight words grade 2, you will find a sentence using the word. Pages from this sight word book can be read during small group instruction, chorally with your whole class and/or in literacy centers. I like to introduce this book at school and then send it home for repeated practice. Two versions are included. - On pages 3 through 14, the words are presented in a bold, solid font. If you would like a large group of students to read this book chorally, I recommend using this version. - On pages 15 - 26, you will find the same words and sentences with the sight word for preschoolers presented in an outline form. I like to use this version and have students carefully trace within the outline as we spell and say each word. (Colored pencils work well for this.) When students have repeated this process several times, they have a book full of "rainbow words" that they have created. The sight words sentence cards can also be cut out and used as playing cards. My kids love a simple game that they play like the traditional card game of War. Players set their cards face down in a stack. Each player reads their card, with support as needed. The player whose sight words grade 1 has the most letters wins the round. As in the traditional game, if the sight word practice have the same number of letters, it is a tie and the cards are left to be won on the next round of play. Graphics are displayed in color, but also print well in black and white. I print one set in color to keep as a class book and then print student copies in black and white to save ink.
