In today's digital age, the rapid advancement of AI and digital technologies has led to the emergence of digital consciousness, blurring the lines between human and machine thinking. At the same time, these technologies offer unprecedented convenience and efficiency but pose significant challenges. Individuals are increasingly facing issues such as stress, anxiety, and technology addiction, impacting their overall well-being and decision-making processes. The dichotomy between digital consciousness and human consciousness raises critical questions about how we can navigate these challenges in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. To address these pressing concerns, Comparative Analysis of Digital Consciousness and Human Consciousness: Bridging the Divide in AI Discourse offers a comprehensive exploration of the impacts of digital consciousness on human well-being and decision-making. This book delves into the paradoxes and challenges posed by the coexistence of digital and human consciousness, providing insights from psychological perspectives, practitioner experiences, and academic research. By offering a nuanced understanding of these concepts, we aim to equip readers with the knowledge and tools needed to manage the implications of digital consciousness in their personal and professional lives.

The incursion of information and communication technologies (ICT) in health care entails evident bene?ts at the levels of security and e?ciency that improve not only the quality of life of the patients, but also the quality of the work of the health care professionals and the costs of national health care systems. Leaving research approaches aside, the analysis of ICT in health care shows an evo- tion from the initial interest in representing and storing health care data (i. e. , electronic health care records) to the current interest of having remote access to electronic health care systems, as for example HL7 initiatives or telemedicine. This sometimes imperceptible evolution can be interpreted as a new step of the progress path of health care informatics, whose next emerging milestone is the convergenceof current solutions with formal methods for health care kno- edge management. In this sense, K4CARE is a European project aiming at contributing to this progress path. It is centered on the idea that health care knowledge rep- sented in a formal waymay favor the treatment of home care patients in modern societies. The project highlights several aspects that are considered relevant to the evolution of medical informatics: health care knowledge production, health care knowledge integration, update, and adaptation, and health care intelligent systems.

In this paper we examine the factors necessary for telehealth implementations in healthcare organizations. We focus on the transfer of medical information using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The paper identifies current applications of telehealth and telemedicine. It contends that we are using such applications in a static manner, whilst futuristic systems would be dynamic in nature and would support the transfer of context-based information. This could make web-based multimedia patient administration systems the norm for healthcare institutions. Such a scenario is likely to lead to a situation where healthcare institutions would be flooded with large amounts of clinical data. The introduction of the Knowledge Management (KM) paradigm would enable healthcare institutions to face the challenge of transforming large amounts of medical data into relevant clinical information. A KM solution would allow healthcare institutions to give clinical data context, so as to allow knowledge derivation for more effective clinical diagnoses. It would also provide a mechanism for the effective transfer of the acquired knowledge so as to aid telecare workers, as and when required.
