Excerpt from Fifty-Fourth Annual Report of the City of Keene: Containing Inaugural Ceremonies Ordinances and Joint Resolutions Passed by the City Councils, With Reports of the Several Departments for 1927 Tuesday, January 4, 1927. The members of the city government for the municipal year of 1927, having met for organization, agreeably to the provisions of the city charter, the convention was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jones at ten o'clock in the forenoon. Hon. Philip H. Faulkner made the announcement that, Arthur R. Jones having been officially notified of his election to the office of mayor for the current municipal term, was present for the purpose of taking the oath of office. The oath of office was administered by Hon. Philip H. Faulkner, who introduced the Mayor to the aldermen and councilmen elect and to the citizens present. After roll-call by the clerk, Mayor Jones administered the oath of office to the following named members of the board of aldermen and councilmen, to-wit.
