The idea for this book was born from the practice of Karen and me exchanging greetings at special occasions throughout our happy courting and married life together. Upon Karen’s sudden death on July 19, 2011, I questioned myself, “Why should I stop now?” The answer has resulted in one-page, true short stories of our experiences together, each anchored to seventy-two calendar dates of happy, special occasions. Within the short stories, you will find that the later stories are more about our life together than my grief. Of the words written within, some are of sadness missing Karen being gone, a few are of selfishness wishing Karen was still here with me, but most are of affection expressing my appreciation and love in return for what Karen meant to me. All the words written within have the same origin and intent. I loved Karen completely, meaning I never found fault in Karen. I wish for readers to find, realize, practice, and share mutual love equivalent to, or better than, the love described and experienced within. I also wish for readers to seek and apply opportunities that frequently arise, or evolve, from a comfortable, trusting, and cooperative environment, as described within, to enhance a loving, lifelong, married relationship as mutual partners.

Life's Garden of Weekly Wisdom is a charming and delightful word garden filled with tasty bites for one's soul. This garden promises to give the reader years of spiritual nourishment. Each chapter explores a practical application of principle. Sandy writes with clarity, love and self-awareness. A great book for both a spiritual seeker unfamiliar with Science of Mind principles and the spiritually mature. "My purpose in writing this book is to speak to those people who feel they are spiritual but don’t fit into a typical church philosophy. Everyone has a sense of spirituality; some just haven’t met it yet. If you are looking for a new way to view life, I invite you to check out Centers for Spiritual Living at CSL.org. I also encourage speakers, ministers, teachers, and others to share these ideas in your own way to inspire other people. To this end, I invite you to explore one lesson each week, by yourself or in a group. I hope you enjoy reading these thoughts on spirituality as much as I enjoyed writing them."

The Vietnam War claimed the lives of over 58,000 Americans, and the effects of "America's longest war" continue to be widespread. Based on the letters and remembrances of visitors to the "Virtual" Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Remembered is a reflective dialogue that lets us see and feel how the Vietnam War changed families across America forever. Known as "The Wall," the memorial in Washington DC attracts more than four million visitors annually, and many more have visited the Wall online. It's from this Virtual Wall that Elliott Levine weaves together different voices as they discuss war and loss, and how they should process the haunting list of so many names. Writing in the form of a play, Levine accomplishes the emotional highs and lows that cause us to stir and be humbled by great sacrifice and patriotism. The Remembered provides a unique glimpse into the hearts of our generation, and our sense of grateful empathy and unbridled honor for the men and women who died in America's most contested war.

The girls of Devonairre Street have always been told they’re cursed. Any boy they love is certain to die too soon. But this is Brooklyn in 2008, and the curse is less a terror and more a lifestyle accessory—something funky and quaint that makes the girls from the shortest street in Brooklyn special. They wear their hair long and keys around their necks. People give them a second look and whisper “Devonairre” to their friends. But it’s not real. It won’t affect their futures. Then Jack—their Jack, the one boy everyone loved—dies suddenly and violently. And now the curse seems not only real, but like the only thing that matters. All their bright futures have suddenly gone dark. The Careful Undressing of Love is a disturbing and sensual story of the power of youth and the boundless mysteries of love set against the backdrop of Haydu’s brilliantly reimagined New York City.
