The weather during the week preceding the report was more favorable with warmth and fair conditions everywhere, although somewhat unsettled toward the end of the week, With heavy showers and.thunderstorms. With the advent of higher temperatures, good germination is reported generally and, where above ground, Wheat is showing up well in rows, and growth will be rapid if the present weather continues. Although the season Opened.somewhat earlier than last year, crops generally are not as far advanced as they should be at this date, according to the report, the cool weather during the past four weeks hav ing prevented growth.
